    IMO just do preventive maintenance properly, you wont need too lug around anything but yourself and passengers. Keep ontop of fluid levels, Grease it and check hoses and ujoints every once in a while. If you kinda do that then you can allways make her back to home base.

    I dident say it would be easy!lol The tan wire at in the column should be it. Do not apply power to any circuits, you will fry the BCM! 95% of the circuits are ground in Low current systems. What you want to do is have your testlight hooked to power and carefully poke through the conduit...

    Sounds like the starter exciter wire is shorted to ground, if its not rubbed onto the block somewhere, the solenoid or motor has failed and is drawing to many amps.

    Sounds like the MAF is going bad, it has the IAT sensor in it aswell. Gen3's wont run without MAF and IAT communicating with the MAP

    Also if you do find out that you have continuity their that means the BCM has the horn tuned out, just clip the wire off the plug, extend it for out to the under hood fuse center. Pull the panel up find the horn relay trigger wire and connect it up. Honkhonk lol I do alot of Remote Starts lol

    Yup pull the bolster and the bcm is right their. Depending on what kind of test equipment you have... take a test light with a needle probe on it, hook the light to 12v and probe the tan wire on the Brown plug pin #18 when you hit the horn button the test light will light up if it has...

    Hope this helps, brown plug on the bcm pin 18 should be direct from the clock spring connection.

    95 was a funny year, halfway though they had TBI's with the vortec dashes, i know the 96+ had all kinds of problems with the IGN switches. Even my 96 has problems but not annoying engough re&re it lol. So the truck is pretty strait forward, IGN switch sends earth to the IGN relay then powers up...
