    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

If you take the time to do it right, you have nothing to worry about. I intend on putting it all back together as it was. Not cutting corners. I have been through this process before.

    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

Yes. Once I have all the new SRS components installed (seatbelts are already in, just have to install new drivers air bag), I have an OBD scanner that has the capability to read/erase SRS module codes. I SHOULD be able to wipe the SRS module clean with that. If not, I already have another SRS...

    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

So I found a truck today on my lunch break that had good seat belts. I pulled them and installed them in the Avalanche. Perfect fit. No issues. Now that I have them out of the way, I will be going after work today to install the driver side air bag, new left fender, bumper cover and all front...

It will be a salvage title since it was totalled in the accident.

    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

Got some parts in! New fender, bumper cover, headlights and foglights. Will probably be trying to get it installed this week if I don't get tied up with other things.

    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

$5800 is very cheap for a vehicle that books for $10k+. The Avalanche books for 13-15k. I will have 7k in it when I am done.

    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

I have heard that before. I intend on getting a black bear tune and eliminating that.

    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

Oh yeah, that came out of the fog lights. I forgot about that one! If you look at the picture of the back window, the previous owner put a "Black Label Lighting" decal back there. Probably where they came from.

    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

No LEDs in the headlights. When you are in an accident, the seatbelts lock up. They lock in the place that they were in when the accident occured. You have to either replace them or have them rebuilt for them to function again.

    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

So I went after work to start putting on some new parts and they were not delivered yesterday.....Upsetting...Anyways, I need to find a place to order 2 new front seat belts. Anyone know of a good place? I found a site that sells for for like $100 each. Just fishing round a bit before I pull the...

    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

Yeah, I drive an 01 Tahoe now, so this will be a bit of an upgrade. I do wish that the leather seats in this Avalanche were heated. 15.3 is a big improvement from the 11 that I get in my Tahoe right now. Any issues with your Avalanche? I have not seen anyone complaining about any one thing...

I hope it goes as planned too! Hopefully I will not hit any, or not many, unplanned issues.

    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

So I ordered most of the remaining parts on Friday (fender, bumper cover, headlights and fog lights) and they should be in today. I hope to have it all installed today after work. Only thing that I will need then are a few small trim pieces. Like the lower valance, trim pieces that go around the...

    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

Buying for $5300. I do not anticipate spending more than about $1000 in parts and inspection. I am going to get used parts off of another black GM so I don't have to have it painted. I am just going to repair it, probably get a black bear tune, and just keep it for myself. Probably do little...

Couple of pictures I took today on lunch. Took off some bad pieces and replaced the plastic supports for the bumper and grill.
