    2010 Yukon Denali 6.2 exhaust

Where are you located? What boost are you running? Was the tune just the stock Edelbrock tune? One reason I elected to stay N/A was the MPG. Even N/A and pussy footing it, it's thirsty!

Played with the tune some more and got DFCO to activate. I am hoping this can get me some MPG back! I am going to make it as aggressive as I can without stalling the truck. Also measured my Corsa muffler, it's 28 inches long so I'd imagine the stainless works one will be a lot louder. I...

    Who has supercharged a 6.2 ?

Is it easier to get decent MPG with the procharger over the magnuson since it's out of boost mostly at low rpms? The concern I had with the magnuson is my 6.2 is already pretty bad MPG, I'd assume the maggie would make that even worse since it activates boost much easier.

Dialed in the trims, shifting, and idle today. Driving perfectly now. Need to figure out the exhaust soon, the stock flexpipe is about to rust off. Corsa Touring sounds ok with the vibrant resonator, but I was considering possibly quieting it down even further by taking off the muffler and...

    I agree with that.

Factory 6.2 is 3.5 inch into a 3 inch section by the bumper. I have a 3" straight through Corsa touring that is in my garage. Even the touring was a bit much with headers, but I may put it back on just to test if it picks up anything.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Ive done dozens of LS cam swaps, I've seen copper on 75% of them. I've always just run em and never had issues. Run it!

Got a roughed in tune done on the 6.2 swap. First test, not too bad.

2012 Yukon XL Denali 6.2L Cam Swap Thread

Yeah that's a good idea. When I did mine, I just made sure I could spin the engine over before tightening the bolt. First time I did this, I saw the sprocket slip and the cam not move, so I knew I wasn't in. If it's spinning over with a loose bolt and everything is still synchronized, then...

If your exhaust was off, the starter comes out in about 2 minutes.

I used a flywheel locking tool, it bolts where your starter goes. Then I just used a long pipe on my breaker bar, wasn't hard. Lining up the pin was the harder part because you can't see it like on a 3 bolt cam. I had nightmares I got it wrong lol.

What is the cost to restall? Circle D quoted me 550. Made no sense so I just got the zl1.

Also yeah a lot of misinformation about what the park position is. I wouldnt have run one without degreeing. Makes sense to stick with 3 bolt if you want an easier install for sure.

VVT is awesome. The install is a little scarier though, easy to miss the alignment pin which would be a disaster. Also have to take apart the cam phaser and put a block in it.

The zl1 is a factory twin disk stall designed to hold mega HP and only costs 400 bucks. Was an easy decision for me.

Ok had a few mins and found a quick spot before I had to go home to do a test.... ZL1 stall lets you go to about 2200-2300

Bought an iat and breakout harness. Iat in maf gets too saturated and hot restarts are terrible because it throws fueling off so much.

Aside from my hood debacle, everything went pretty smooth. Its quiet, has no leaks, is running right. Came together nicely. Its def over 100 ft lbs more than the 5.3 at below 4k. The 5.3 with the ported heads and cam was comparable 5k and up. I need to work on MPG though its real bad...
