Wow, did not know you had a Hybrid and your right that tube is low, real low. Not sure if painting the "TUBE" or the "dipstick" would help in that situation. I had to actually look quite a bit to find it in the picture you have posted.
I would honestly, look into some sort of lighting, as...
:evil27:
all honestly you could paint the tube, per say, but the handle a glow in the dark color or really bright, say neon green. I have seen that done and works quite well. ( not my taste, but an idea)
Just messing, not really a secret.
The jist of it is i used the factory hood light from pre 03 tahoes, etc. and made the leds all come on with it.
I know you do, "someone" has a big mouth. ha ha ha...:jester:
Hows the burb coming?
they may fit, because i see people with older model trucks, (like the years listed) switching to your style tail lights. I think they have to do something with the wiring though, but not sure.
Same thing for the rest really - at least from what i remember just different parts. I think now he may use led strips though. Gives a better uniform of color.
Will write one up if the majority seems to need one. My last one took quite some time to write up. lol.
But man does it make a difference. It even lights up the area around the front of the tahoe.
Very sweet mod that I must thank my Mentor for helping me accomplish this.
This is your place to become my twin. ha ha..
Thanks man. -
( I think scott does, I know for the older model yes, but 03 up are bulbs - solder and such. I'll see if i have it saved)
Ha ha, got to keep somethings hush hush. lol
CLick my sig that says "TAHOE WHAT"
Dont want to clutter up this thread w/ questions.
Will put up info in my thread shortly.
sorry if its short and sweet, cant give away all my secrets, but the jist of it is, just that, run power and negative and a switch if you like for on/off operation.
Would be awesome in a garage... Especially with a remote for turn on.
I found some sites before that showed all the cladding, but cant find them now.
Couldnt find a back side pic w/ a quick search, but heres the bracket on a tahoe / burban may help give an idea.
