They are all good. The more info you have the better equipped you are.
I love these types of comments. We are seemingly damned if we do and damned if we don't on this issue.
Our job is to look over your car and point out any issues the vehicle may have. If you came in for an oil change and I found you have a really dangerous condition with your driver side lower...
A code can be "Pending" indefinitely. What a Pending code is a a fault that has not yet met the criterea to be a "hard" code. In other words, your problem seems to be intermittent. One drive cycle it's throwing a fault and the next (where if it fails again it becomes a hard fault and a code is...
Along with this thinking, have an indy shop do the diagnosis as I mentioned and if they also come to a low compression reading on that cylinder, ask them to pull the valve cover on that bank and check for the rocker arms to move full lift on both the intake and exhaust sides. The Dealership...
I'd get a second opinion from and independent shop. I wouldn't go in there telling them anything other than you had a P0300. See if they come to the same conclusion.
Something caused a rich condition and killed your cats. Just replacing the cats is half of the battle. You need to find the...
Those look like soft compound snow tires (lots of zig-zag siping). If so, regular use on dry pavement will do that to snow tires. What type Michelins are they? If I had to guess I'd say Michelin LTX Winter snow tires (http://www.michelinman.com/US/en/tires/products/ltx-winter.html)
Snow tires...
A whatnow? Where? Got a picture of it? Never heard of a precat or 3 cats on these trucks, CA or Federal emissions.
Let's say I've worked on these trucks as long as I have and for whatever reason or odds that I've never run into the elusive "bank 2 pre-cat". Why isn't there also a pre-cat...
You should. They are item #5 in the picture. 2 rigid aluminum lines coming out of the driver's side/rear of the oil pan around where your oil filter is.
Item #4 along with the crimps at the rubber sections of hose is where they usually leak.
In this last image is the lines and...
I've seen fuel fouled canisters as well as others filled with dirt/sand (on Fords that see lots of dirt road usage). EVAP failures CAN cause drivability issues and if left unchecked. A stuck open purge valve is essentially a vacuum leak and would cause high fuel trims and if left unchecked...
Your brake hardware should look like this. If you don't have the spring clips, that is your issue. Also not going to overlook the obvious but your pads are not worn to the point where your wear indicators are rubbing right?
It's the pump. Next time it wont start bang on the bottom of the fuel tank with a rubber mallet while you have a friend hold the key in the crank position. Usually 1st or 2nd whack and the pump starts working again and the truck will start.
Get a nice set of easy-outs in case they break off.
Also, you can bleed the brakes by loosening the banjo fitting at each caliper. Skip to 8:15 in the video.
If you don't have ground at pin E just run that wire to a ground. The ground circuit runs back to the C1 connector of the Instrument Panel Relay Box pin B3 and then to G203 which is shared by a ton of other things. If you have no ground at Pin E of the flasher connector you have an open...
It may have a pending code. Not a memory code but a pending code. The moment you get a pending code, ALL EMISSIONS MONITORS stop running. In other words you may have a problem but it wont turn the check-engine light on because it hasn't failed the monitors in 2 CONSECUTIVE drive cycles yet...
Castrol Edge full synthetic provides better protection than Mobil 1. Just saying. :) Just because it cost more doesn't mean it's better oil. Amsoil and Royal Purple are better oils than either of course.
What "issues" specifically? You're doing a motor swap. There will be issues. The more ability and knowledge you have about said swap the lesws issues there will be.
Are you bringing the PCM with the new LQ9?
Carry a small hammer with you if you're still driving this with the same starter. LOL
Just sayin....
One loud "clack/click" and then nothing is the starter seizing up. If you try it enough times it may free up and start. If the relay was the issue you would not even hear the "loud...
