Well, it must be something else then. Just went over a larger speed bump slowly and heard the kind of squeaking noise. I hate replacing items that may or may not be bad with the hopes of finding the actual problem. I am still leaning towards the springs. I did replace the sway bar bushings, but...
I called Fort Wayne Clutch to order a new nickel plated slip yoke. Based on the information I gave the guy on the phone, he said there were 2 slip yoke options. The choices were one with internal snap rings and one with external snap rings. I didn't know what is the correct one.
I slid under...
Called Fort Wayne Clutch and apparently there are 2 slip yoke choices. One with inside snap rings and one with outside snap rings. Have no idea if that is something I can identify just looking at the slip yoke in place.

I have been trying to diagnose the noise coming from the rear of my 2008 Yukon for some time now. The noise occurs in the rear when driving over speed bumps or any uneven areas in the road. It sound like it may be the rear coil springs moving slightly, but that is just a guess. I would like to...
And this slip yoke is for 2007-2014 Yukon/Tahoe?

Are those the part numbers on the fort wayne clutch site? Didn't find anything by searching on them.
May try replacing the sway bar end links and the rubber bushings that mount the sway bar to the frame.

I called the dealer to inquire about a new slip yoke. They quoted me $319. Wow.
I was at the dealer about 1 year ago for an oil change and mentioned the noise to those goofballs. The service lady said they greased the drive train and charged me $200. That almost made the noise disappear, but you can tell that it's now as noticeable as it was before.

When I go over a speed bump, I get the *CLUNK* noise from the back end. I get the same *CLUNK* when I come to a stop and then let my foot off the brake pedal.
I have read several different things people have done:
Remove slip yoke and apply some special grease
Replace the slip yoke with a...
Last time I was at the dealer getting an oil change, I requested the part number for the replacement dash (in cashmere in my case).
This seems to be a good price based on the part number given to me by the dealer.
PANEL - GM (23224748) - $327.51
Those do look nice. I do need to replace the tires on my Yukon so this is a good time to do so. However, I am now trying to explain myself to the wife why I need to spend $1,700 + shipping on wheels/tires when I could spend $800 on getting just a new set of tires and keep the wheels I have. This...
I am going up to a 22 inch wheel (20 inch now) on my stock GMC Yukon. I see two different tire sizes people are running with the 22 inch wheels (285/45/22 and 305/40/22). Given a standard suspension height, what is the difference in looks on my Yukon? Is it just a matter of less distance between...
