Lifting 2012 LT 4wd CCM Bilstein Tire size

Yes just install the 5100s in the front with no lift. The rear 5100s will not provide any lift (make sure you get the ones with longer shafts to accommodate the spacers). Looks like you got the tires/wheels sorted out except the trimming. Post pics when done!

Bump. Got a PM and there are a couple of new threads regarding trimming.

    Thoughts on these angles?

x3 on the 2500 CV angle. The bottom pic of the Tahoe looks good. Is that using a bottom strut spacer?

    New 275/60/20 BFG A/T KO2

I like the new sidewall design, about time it was updated. The center lugs look the same. If you guys are running them in snow, please provide a review. I have the last generation ATs on another rig and they are terrible in the snow. From the specs, it is supposedly improved for snow traction.

    Nitto Trail Grapplers??Miles-Sound-Traction??

I have ~52,000 miles on them and can get another 5k easily. This is the best MT type tire I have run. Handles all situations great from mud, sand, rocks, and snow for an MT (ice not so much). Also been towing a 3,500-lb camping trailer for the last 2 years about 24 trips. It is surprising...

    Manual Liftgate Release Switch

I finally got the lever to work. Also didn't notice this was in the 2015+ section. Did a google search for 2007 Tahoe lift gate manual release and I assumed it pointed to the correct section. Oh well.

    Manual Liftgate Release Switch

How did you activate the release lever? I am having trouble doing this. Thanks!

    CCM leveling kit question

That size tire is larger in diameter. The middle number (65) is the ratio of the tire sidewall height. That is, the tire side wall is 65% of 285 mm. So the tire diameter is 2 x (65%*285 mm*[1in/25.4mm]) + 18 in = 32.59 in. For the 265 width the diameter would be 31.56 in.

    CCM & Terra Grapplers done

I just think the G2 is too new, I think they just came out this month. Well my Tahoe needs new tires very soon so I will be checking Goodyear Duratrac, Toyo Open County AT2, Nitto Terra Grappler G2s, and Nitto Exo Grappler. We really like the Trail Grapplers that are on right now (~48k), but...

    CCM leveling kit question

When you get larger tires you can have them adjust the speedo. If you are not getting the Autocal, then I think they have a number of free adjustment tunes (i would ask them if you are concerned about this). Consider waiting till you install more upgrades then get the tune. Oh yeah, rig...

Almost time for new tires for the '11 Z71...

Looks good. Hopefully the advertised snow traction improvement is better than the KOs. I have BFG KOs on another rig and they are terrible in snow.

    CCM leveling kit question

Should be complete kit. U-bolts? Those are usually for leaf springs kits.

Almost time for new tires for the '11 Z71...

I lost ~1 to 2 mpg, but some of that can be attributed to needing the speedo re-calibrated due to a larger diameter. Black Bear tune cured that and more :mexsmoke:. I could feel it a bit and wasn't as bad as others have described, but keep in mind I have 4.10 gears.

Trimming for 285/65/18 tires with 2.5" Level Kit

Accounts for the additional lift of the air bags, tires, and height with the roof cross bars. I use 6'10" for parking garages because those signs are not accurate.

Bump. Seems like there are a few folks wondering about trimming.

    08 Z71 with 295/65/18 Goodyear Duratracs

With the 2.5/1 my rear was 0.25" higher than the front, respectively. However certain angles it looked like it had a very slight Cali lean. IMO just go for the 2.5/1.5. Even with 285/65/18s I had to trim ~2" off the front valence clip. Check my thread that I bumped up recently.

    33x12.5r20's

For a quick check just jack the front up and check for rubbing. IMO it will still rub with a level kit. Just get the amount of lift you want and trim.

    CCM leveling kit question

Mine was 0.25" higher in the rear with the 2.5/1, but just eye balling it the front slightly looked higher depending on terrain/angle. If you are concerned about that, just get the 2.5/1.5. IMO looks better with a slightly higher rear and won't be lower than the front if you are carrying a...

    Z71 rear shocks

Cheap and stiff try Rancho 9000XLs. They are adjustable dampening wise, contact them to discuss extended length shocks. Better shocks would be Fox, Kings, and Icon. You get what you pay for...

Review - Adjustable Track/Panhard Bar from Spohn Performance

Thanks for sharing. FYI my rear axle is not offset and I have almost 2" of lift in the rear with the airbags set >20 psi.

2" leveling kit on 2012 denali AWD, help please.

Are you only talking about leveling the front with a 2" spacer? If so the CVs are ok and it should not affect autoride. Search this forum for autoride threads, this has been discussed a lot.

    questions on increased clearace

A 2WD Denali, not an ideal off-road rig. What tires are you running and what type of terrain will you be encountering? Cheap, like you said, take off the bottom valence of the front bumper. I'm with Cap on the sidesteps, depending on the terrain it might save the components underneath the...

    Nitto grappler tire question

Check this section, I just refreshed my trimming thread. IMO wheel spacers will not help with rubbing and might actually make it worse because the spacers make the radius arc larger. This will depend on your specs. Go to a good tire shop and discuss with them, and hopefully they can do a...
