    Changing rotted backing plates/dust shields

I know the post is a bit old but some of the photos are not displayed for me. Is it only me? The write up is great because I will be testing this soon myself I don't have the money to pay anyone and I'm getting tired of my truck chugging like a train because of these plates.

    Wife's Tahoe

:happy107: I think it looks good, I have a barn door one too but I didn't have a choice my dad passed it to me when he got a NNBS. So despite the 'baldness' looks pretty clean.

    Roof Rack Leaking???

Yeah it is BS but oh well. Two drops after 2 hours of heavy rain is crazy good better than a swimming pool.

    1.25" Wheel Spacers

I have no clue my friend gave them to me and he got them from a junk yard. The best I can do for what I think they are is: http://www.cragarwheel.com/products16-21/CragarSeries342BlackDWindow OR http://www.jegs.com/p/JEGS-Performance-Products/JEGS-D-Window-Steel-Wheels/1395303/10002/-1

    Roof Rack Leaking???

It started leaking after two hours driving to the beach in heavy rain (like 2 months ago but I have been offline for awhile..) two drops.. either I'm crazy, which I am, or I'm crazy. I will silicone it myself this time I got this. But it doesn't leak like a MOFOin waterfall! :challenge:

    1.25" Wheel Spacers

I know this is old but the wheels have been take off because I didn't like how close they were to the calipers. I'm riding stock shoes with the spacers still. Looks better than stock. I'm looking into some Granite Alloy GA9s now

    ***Official New Jersey Thread***

I know I said I would be able to make it but I can't. Not to happy about that but oh well. My truck hasn't changed those black rims I had are gone, they were shit. The only big difference is the 1.25 inch spacers. See you guys eventually.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

This would be considered a week long thing but I moved 150 bags of mulch, 90 in one day!, if that counts. It's my dad's truck but 30 a trip is still a lot. :sunot:

    1.25" Wheel Spacers

Here is the plate I bought/still have.. http://www.motorcitybolton.com/wheel-spacer-plates/6mm-thick-5-lug-or-6-lug-wheel-spacer-plate-1-pair.html If your truck is like mine the 1.25 spacer is not long enough to cover the studs. your need at least 1.5 or 1.75 adapters to clear them. Also you...

    Roof Rack Leaking???

I see your point, I had the window replaced twice if I remember correctly, It wasn't my truck when it was done it was my dad's. It has been leaking for years. Unfortunately it started to rain here, again, so now I have to wait. When your wife's leaked did the headliner get wet or is there a...

    Roof Rack Leaking???

I'm going on what a guy said from SafeLite because my front windshield leaks like mofo when the truck is at an angle. Been doing it for years but I mostly park on flat surfaces. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? He says a roof rack bolt might have rotted and it leaks through there but I...

For not being able to find it at first I found this... http://ryoogle.com/LED/tahoe-hyper-flash-fix.php That gave me an idea how how to find it since reading descriptions didn't help. The link is apparently for LED signals but the location is the same. Also I was able to get the new one in P#...

I will bring that part number to the dealer and see what they say too, most of the work gets done there so if it breaks I can yell at someone.
