installed a txdashcover dash cap
That came out well. My suburban came with a dash carpeted pad that reminds me of the older square body trucks or the vans my dad drove in the 80's. Memories sure, but definitely not the look or feel I want to achieve. -

Updated to a newer NNBS.

Poor cluster visibility
It seems backwards, but before i had my windows tinted (20% up front and 35% over the factory privacy glass), my auto headlights seemed to come on much sooner and seemed a little more sensitive to light. Now that my windows are tinted, I've noticed this same situation more. Usually it... -

For me it has been close, usually +/- 1 mpg. I have begun to think that it does not count time spent idling. New here looking for info
Sort of a cop-out answer, but I like www.fuelly.com for 'real' world mpg's. Check out the browse option and you can see cars sorted by make, model and year. And you can sort those subsections by engine. That being said, I have gotten 19.2 on my 07 4WD Tahoe. Doing 70 with a decent tail wind...- Jason_S

Fresh wash and wax
It looks good, missing rain guard would bother me too, almost as much as having to buy a set to replace just the one. Too bad with black paint that it only looks that good for an hour or two after you finish waxing it before the the dust or pollen find it. I always hated that about the black...- Jason_S

2007 and up Door handle install How to with pictures
Nice writeup!! A magnetic 10MM socket is crazy helpful with the bolts. If you don't have a magnetic 10MM, the one of those magnets on a stick is almost necessary to dig the bolts out of the bottom of the doors when you inevitably drop one or two. -

Question on adding factory nav.
For what it is worth, I would not go this route unless some one gave me a free fully functional nav unit. I have the Nav in my '07 Tahoe and have been less than impressed. The brightness adjustment sucks. It is usually bright as crap at night and dim in the daytime. The nav requires dvd...- Jason_S

2011 Tahoe LS Cargo Area Getting Very Dusty
Have a similar issue with my '07 LTZ. Tried cleaning all of the rubber gaskets around the hatch glass and hatch itself. Seemed to help some. Also running the A/C on recirc helps in the warmer months. Right now, the snow is keeping the dust down.
