@MD Tahoe 13 Thanks for the reply. The other option you have is finding a white door from a Tahoe/Yukon. The Gorilla Tape blended in quite well on my black PPV.
@Galante Thanks for the reply. I'll remove the entire weather strip and see what's blocking those holes.
@MD Tahoe 13 Just curious but how did you plug up the spot light notch? I used Gorilla Tape under the weatherstrip and cut out a half circle for the actual notch in the driver door frame. Just wondering if there was an OEM or aftermarket solution that's somewhat cleaner.
@spectralen @XEALOT...
Should be reddish-orange in colour. Just use some of the existing oil to lube it before sliding it on and then gently push it back into place. You'll know it's making a good seal as there's a bit of resistance. On my '14 truck the pickup line just dropped right off, the minute I undid the bolt...
Some instructions posted in the comment section. Is the truck RWD or 4WD?
I just hand tightened all my bolts till snug. Went under the truck for an oil change and there was no seepage/leaks.
You may need a new oil pan gasket if the one on there doesn't get too mangled up during removal.
I'm in the same boat as you. I'm looking for a Setina or GoRhino but I'm not able to find any used ones. I've heard that they scrap them after the trucks reach the end of their service cycle over here in Canada.
Highly unlikely as the Range AFM modules interface via the truck's OBD-II port and just keep all 8 cylinders running at all times. It's a software method.
@David Smith I think a faulty sensor would throw some type of engine code. Do you have an OBD-II reader to check for stored faults?
I think sensors aren't terribly expensive so you could try replacing that, but as @Doubeleive suggested you might want to take a look at the pump and O-ring first...
That's good to hear, if you're still intrigued in disabling the AFM for a reasonable price try to find a gently used Range AFM device on Kijiji, Craigslist, eBay, etc.
@Sublime69 If you think the reliability of the truck is not compromised with the AFM, then you'd probably want to check out the drive-ability. See if the AFM switching from 4/8 cylinders in your daily commute bothers you.
@COMSEC A RCMP truck without any rust? o_O
In any case take the truck for a spin and watch the shifting, listen for driveline clunks, etc... If you have an OBD scanner, give the truck a scan for any stored faults.
Other than that, if you do pull the trigger on it. Start by replacing all the...
I personally would do both. If the Avalanche is RWD the job should take you about 2-3 hours maximum with an impact driver. About 6-7 hours if you have 4WD as you need to disconnect the front axles.
@Jerrod Brown You're posting in the wrong forum my man. Try this one below:

@992dr I saw this particular post. Didn't get a chance to look under the truck today. Will do so tomorrow. The dripping has stopped though.

@kronus @bobo49505 There is a slim possibility you guys might be experiencing what I experienced:
http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/reverse-back-up-lights-staying-on-while-in-drive-and-when-vehicle-is-turned-off.97891/
Adding the clamp would stop the seeping. That's what some people were suggesting.
I'm going to put the truck on my ramps tomorrow and take a look and see if the above fix is viable. Shouldn't cost too much in the grand scheme of things too.
@992dr @domoarigato @RichardCranium Thanks for the insight and replies. Did a bit of research on some other forums and some guys have said that adding some additional clamps might help. From your observations do you think it would?
@domoarigato @992dr How hard was it for you guys to change these lines? Noticed some droplets on the driveway this morning towards the front of the vehicle and I think I may have to replace these lines as I had noted some seepage when I first picked up the truck.
The PPV trucks don't come with an original console. That area is intentionally left open to accommodate the police laptop, etc...
The jump-seat/console you have is an excellent one that goes for about $300-$400+ CDN on the used market. I paid about $140 CDN for my 2 cup holder jump-seat/console.
Can you try a different shop? Feels like they are throwing parts at your truck and charging you for it without doing any kind of analysis.
@Doubeleive provided a useful diagnosis suggestion.
