Well great. I was hoping maybe I could use Bluetooth in my truck because I can't get OnStar because the system hasn't been changed from analog to digital. I called my dealer and just the kit is $350! I don't think I want it that bad haha
I've had this little microphone-looking thing attached to my upper console since I bought my car. I'm assuming it's for an aftermarket Bluetooth system but I can't find where it goes or how you connect to it or what brand it is. No devices ever come up when I'm searching for Bluetooth. Anyone...
That makes sense. Michelins I think are probably pretty affordable so the car companies throw them on. My mom bought a new car last year and it came with some Michelins and after less than 25k miles she needed a new set badly! Now she has another brand (might be Cooper) on it and she's probably...
Has anyone ever tried to take the underhood storage box out of a late 90's GM truck and fit it into the 2000-2006 trucks anywhere in the vehicle? I'm thinking it would be really cool and handy to have this. Will it fit easily under the hood in these newer models?
DO NOT BUY THIS WHEEL. It's complete crap. It's mostly made out of a cheap, easy to peel foam. And it gets bubbles under it. Only the 3 little inserts are leather. I might return mine because it's such garbage. I had the company send me 2 other wheels before this and they were all the same way...
I'm sure it's possible but there would be a lot to do... I think this is where my helpfulness stops. I know about the physical differences between the 2 kinds but I don't know about the wiring and programming and stuff. A new steering wheel would probably fit but I don't know for sure. I haven't...
Well crap... You have the model before the model that had the Driver Information Center... Here's a shot of mine. It's a 2004 and it came with steering wheel controls and that cluster. So you have a different cluster, steering wheel, steering shaft cover, and radio. My mom's 99 Silverado has the...
UPDATE: finally figured it out. The rear slip yoke has a rubber seal thing around it and it had a lot of dirt built up in it so I cleaned it out and sprayed it with WD-40 and I haven't heard it for a week now. This explains why the noise changed pitch when I went over a bump. It's weird how...
I'm pretty sure you would need a different cluster. My dad tried to do this in his 06 Silverado but he didn't have the right harness and his cluster was different than ones I've seen that came with steering wheel controls. Can you take a picture of yours?
I'm assuming you've unbolted the heat shield off of the side of the transmission already. I'm not familiar with the denali transmissions or exhaust (maybe they're the same, I dont know) but maybe you can take that section of the exhaust out? Or you could always drop the tranny and you'd have all...
This sounds exactly like my issue. I was afraid it could be the BCM... Have you ever had anything else go haywire with your electrical? And do you by chance have an aftermarket remote starter kit? I've heard that those can really screw with your system. Mine came with one.. Please tell me how...
Great write up!! I just did my footwell lights yesterday following this and I'm very happy with them! Thank you! I thought it was weird how my 2004 Yukon didnt have any but my moms 99 Silverado does. And also mine doesn't have a glove box light but hers does even though they have the same basic...
My driver's power seat in my 2004 Yukon will only go halfway forward for some reason. The motor actually stops at that point and doesn't try to keep going. And oddly enough whenever I hit my memory seat button it adjusts everything correctly except it moves the seat to the middle of the track...
Hello all! Lately I've been wondering if my A pillar covers on my 04 Yukon SLT with the Bose system (first photo) can be replaced with the A pillar covers from an 07-13 model (second photo). Those covers have a better looking speaker and a Bose logo so I thought it'd be cool to have them. From...
