Hey everyone. I am thinking about plasti dipping my denali grille white. My denali is white and I think it may look very nice with a white grille on a white truck. What do you think? Plasti dip or leave it chrome?

Regards,

Brian

Yes, white plasti dip! Kill the chrome! Trucks with all color matched parts look the best in my opinion.

IMO either colormatch it correctly with paint or leave it. The plasti-dip will not match 100% to your paint and will not look right.

That was my first choice to paint it. But I don't have a good feeling about paint sticking to the plastic. I am calling around looking for possibly a white vinyl wrap, as well as keeping my mind open about plasti dip.

When done properly there are no issues with paint sticking to plastic. It's all in the prep and using adhesion promoter with plastic painting

My grill was PD white for a while. It was an ok match. I have the summit white. If you have WDT it for sure wont match.

I also have my bumpers and my esky appliques PD white.

Yeah my truck is Olympic white, paint code 8624, so I don't know how it would match up.

100% correct. Ive painted all kinds of plastic trim, and chrome. If its prepped correctly, and baked correctly, it will last just as long as everything else on the vehicle.

Painted my 03 Denali grille body color over 10 years ago, and I still see it around town without any flaking. Have it painted body color, don't mess with the Plasti Dip. My experience with PD is that it collects all kinds of lint when brushed up on.
