I had to do mine, You have to remove the sunroof first. It is fairly easy. I think there are only 4 torx screws. You may want to mark the location of the brackets as these are how the seal/roof is adjusted. If you dont mark, it really isnt very hard to adjust after the fact. Open the sunroof and...
This is the answer. Had to do mine. You have to drop the tank, and blow out all of the lines. (after charcoal canister has been replaced) Nearly impossible to remove all of the beads with the tank in place. At least it doesn't cost anything! The tahoe tank is actually fairly easy to drop. I have...
SO, just to update... I have bought a cheap replacement air pump from ebay. It is the type that comes with the dryer rebuild pieces and the plug is not included. I think it was $109 shipped.
I easily soldered over the plug and mounted and it fit an works great with much more pressure than the...
I am trying to diagnose my system. For now I would like to keep the autoride. I removed the pump yesterday and bench tested it. I also tested the tubes & shocks with air.
The pump powers on and pumps air. It doesnt seem to have a lot of psi, I cover the exhaust hole and it bogs down fairly...
Update, Drove around a bit today, and the rear ride is pretty rough/harsh. I would not have imagined it being so stiff with a 2" spring. Perhap, I need to adjust my bumpstops. I also added the shock lowering mounts because I have air ride. The kit came with shorter sensor rods, which I have not...
Just finished, 2" rear coils and turned the front keys 4 turns each. Got about 5/8 in the front. I plan on driving around a few days, then I will re-evaluate. Also to take a few days to get used to the look.
I tried to find a thread on this, but couldn't find exactly.
I only want to drop the front an inch. (rear drop was a hair too low for front)
So can I just do it with key adjustment?
Will I need to align after?
Will my ride be effected?
I bought some REAR springs online. They said they were for 00-06, however box and part description is for 07+.
Will these work? Everywhere I look they call for a different part #, I just am trying to avoid returning of possible. Thanks
They probably should do a stock motor since that is really what would be most useful to most truck owners. I guess they assume that at least all of the mods were a "standard" since they did not change in between intakes - with the exception of the larger throttle body on the upgraded intakes...
I installed the bumper cap this weekend. They are supports for the "humps" in the HD cap. One for the right and one for the left. Probably could have been used without, but they must be made for a reason.
Silimar question, is the grill only available in textured? I dont see a smooth version of that. OR are you guys just sanding down the texture for paint?
I am looking for the bumper pad (cover) for the HD conv. Does anybody know if they made a smooth version? I am only finding textured. If so, could someone send me an ebay link or someting for the smooth? I appreciate it. Thanks Dan
Hi, I am sure there are posts, but I could not find quite what I was looking for. I will keep it simple.
I want to level the rear of a 2wd 05 Tahoe. So I just want the rear to come down a little.
Can I buy just springs, should I use 2" or 3" drop springs?
Do I need to have the shock...
Any idea about the sporadic error message? I have seen some people report that they had chaffing of wires or a bad connection somewhere. Is this a common problem? Typically error messages stay on for a while unless it is a fuel cap - something like that.
I have autoride 2005 tahoe. I just replaced the rear shocks. The old ones had holes in the rubber. The pump would occasionally turn on and then shut off. So I had been getting the "Service Air Ride" message. However it is not on all the time - it is sporadic. The pump turned on the other day...
