Got bored so Plasti-dip the Wheels
i have the same thing, but on some after market rims. if you prep it great, not good, but great, you should get a bond that will last 2 years at least going through normal use including car washes. after 2 years, i had to strip clean and recoat. stripping sucks, so i would recommend doing it...- Sgtduckyboy

2006 Tahoe parking brake shoes installed DIY
very interesting. makes me say F it. I have the same problem but would love the parking brake to work. my dust covers on the rears are coming loose from rust. figure i might need to spend a weekend under this thing next fall to get all this fixed and cleaned up.- Sgtduckyboy

Plasti Dippin' my rims tomorrow. Any suggestions?
I did mine last fall. The person before me did it and it was not prepped correctly. The Chrome was chipping and they just covered it up. I stripped the old stuff off, pain in the ass, best thing I found was using a lot of carb/engine cleaner and wire brush. WD40 can suck me, its worthless to...- Sgtduckyboy

Decision made. Take delivery tomorrow on a new 2017 Denali

2005 Yukon with 193,000 miles
I have an 06 Tahoe with after market alarm/remote start. Its not the remote start that wears it down, its the alarm system itself. Even with my new battery, if it let it sit a week, it is too weak to start it. I only run into that problem in the summer when I'm riding the harley to work...- Sgtduckyboy
