You saw how it looks on mine. Did front bumper and valance at the same time. The grey valance looks sooo much better black, even if it's just matte plastidip black. All black front actually looks beast imo.
Also I say remove your door moldings all together.
Can't remove them, Hoe had prior paint work, and mouldings and Tahoe script were taped off and painted around. So that sucks.

Oh well sooooorrry!!! People would know these things if you had a damn build thread !!!!:mad3:

Also here's another option, get painted nnbs moldings. Smooth and low profile look good. What I would do.
Then replace the nbs lettering with nnbs TAHOE letters

Up here to the right
I did my body side mouldings. I hated that little plastic chrome strip, plus the plastic was looking a little faded. Came out really nice. I'm thinking about doing my front bumper and lower valance. Still debating on that.

I have black with chrome strip in good shape from my nbs if interested

Not too hot. It will stick

Thanks bud, plethora of info you are

I did mine last fall. The person before me did it and it was not prepped correctly. The Chrome was chipping and they just covered it up. I stripped the old stuff off, pain in the ass, best thing I found was using a lot of carb/engine cleaner and wire brush. WD40 can suck me, its worthless to remove the spray painted rubber coating. Goof Off wasnt too bad. then once clean, I used TSP to clean any residue off. then I hand sanded the rims with 220 and then steel wool followed by a good wiping , air hosing and final check, then i used Tape to border the rims and went to town painting them. I put on about 4 coats as i had several cans. Cant hurt to have too much of this stuff. BE SURE ITS CLEAN!
