    Ethanol percentage flex fuel

Well I, for one, am convinced. I think this also explains the intermittent extended crank that I sometimes experience. I went ahead and ordered the fuel pump assembly from RA. I went with the Delphi, as opposed to the "Genuine GM" because the Delphi comes with a Lifetime warranty as opposed to...

    Ethanol percentage flex fuel

I have seen the fuel pressure and fuel pump trims but I can't remember off the top of my head which menus I had to go into to get to them. I know it was under Fuel pump control module or something along those lines.

    Ethanol percentage flex fuel

My guess is that, at least in my case, at 268k miles it probably needs a fuel pump. I have put 113k of those miles on it and never replaced a fuel pump and, from the maintenance records I have, I don't think the PO did either.

    Ethanol percentage flex fuel

That article sounds like it may be the key to the issue @wsteele and myself are having. Thanks for posting that. I will definitely be looking into replacing the fuel pump before too long. I didn't realize this before but @wsteele and I both have a Diablew tune, although I can't imagine that is...

Tell me why I need a Tech 2.

The TIS2000 software is good for programming modules in most 2007 and older vehicles as it has the software updates on the cd. For 2008 and up you need to subscribe to TDS. The CANDI module is for use in any of the GM Vehicles that use a CanBus system. As an example the GMT900 platform...

Random traction control light when turning

Mine was 4/6 dropped for 2 1/2 years and I never had this happen. Now it is only 2/4 dropped and just recently started happening intermittently. Just seems weird.

Rocket Man's 2008 Bagged CC Silverado Build AKA "THE MACHINE"

I have successfully sandblasted chrome and used a good "self etching" primer before painting but sanding will accomplish the same thing. The self etching primer helps to bite into the chrome and adheres better. Sucks that you have to do this but at least you will know that it is right when done.

Random traction control light when turning

Nope, wasn't me. @Tonyrodz and another member, who's name escapes me at the moment, both recently upgraded there anti-sway bars. Good thought though.

Random traction control light when turning

I remember that post... wasn't it his fuel pump control module that had water in it though??? If my memory serves me he would turn and the truck would shut off.

    Retrofit Headlight opinion???

I've never tried to remove the chrome from inside a headlight, but I know that I have read about guys using various different chemicals to remove the chrome from plastic, including lye. When I have painted chrome in the past I have sand blasted and used a self etching primer before painting...

    2010 LTZ key fob issues

Most auto parts stores have a device sitting on the counter that can test your fob. It is usually right where they have all the different batteries for the various remotes. You turn the device on and then hold the fob within a certain distance (instructions are on the device) and hit a button...

Random traction control light when turning

I may or may not still have the alignment printout, I would have to look in the glove box or console to see. I haven't changed my driving habits or normal roads. I plan on having the alignment checked again next month as it will be 6 months since it was done and the guy that does my alignments...

Random traction control light when turning

I am posting this here because I'm not entirely sure which section it fits best in. My 2008 Suburban has rarely and randomly started turning the traction control light on the dash for just a few seconds while making a turn onto a side road at a decent rate of speed. The best way to describe...

If that app allows custom PIDs then they should still be able to enter the information and get it to work. I don't have any Apple phones because I hate them and prefer Android so I'm not exactly sure what is or isn't available for them.

    Ethanol percentage flex fuel

GM, in all of their infinite wisdom, did away with the physical flex fuel sensor on the GMT900 platform, it is probably sitting in a box on a shelf, along with the cabin air filter, lights under the dash and on the door panels, at GM headquarters. The GMT800s have an actual FF sensor but the...

    Retrofit Headlight opinion???

Some people look for any opportunity to be offended. People are brain washed to think that being a victim gives them special rights. When you allow someone to offend you, or make you mad, you are actually giving them control over you. I prefer to be in control so it is very difficult to get me...
