if you've got one with weird issues and you want to try and track them down yourself, a 300$ clone tech 2 and a subscription to all data or something would be a good place to start.
for the no start, if it was mine I'd look at a scanner and see if the crank request is getting to the bcm and...
so I saw a suv on tires yesterday and it made me think. is your speedo calabrated for the larger tires? most don't, simple with hp tuners. my yukon with stock tires read 2mph off, so I adjusted it.
if not that effects you're odometer reading too.
if you know for sure the cable lever is against the stop and fully released. the adjuster is full adjusted in. my didn't want to move so I had to take it apart and lube it.
at that point, I'd look at the pad to see where it's rubbing and hit it with the whiz wheel and sand a touch off that...
just as a heads up, the stock bolts are common to snap off and became a hassle. if you find them lose, it's a good time to replace them with something a little stronger than stock.
1800$ to replace exhaust bolts that have backed out? that's fairly crazy to me.
now if they broke off in the head maybe and if that's the case just buy the 50$ clamp thst bolts on over it. no need to fix the bolts really. unless he feels like putting stronger aftermarket ones in it.
if this...
a lot of times guys quote highway mileage after swaps and mods. mainly because stop and go city traffic mileage goes to crap. especially if you have to idle a alot with a cam.
just for reference, if she drives it in soccer mom hell like mine, even the hybrid tahoe don't get real world 20mpg...
there is no pvc valve like old cars have.. the valve cover is just a oil baffle. no moving parts, it needs to be a good because it's full bore vacuum from the intake, the trick is. your engine should be sealed, so sucks a lot of air from one side and pulls fresh air from the other side, from the...
all 3 or mine are broken hinge and just clipped on.
I might end up trying to replace them with USB style plugs. the old cigarette lighter hole looks pretty bad without a cover.
I all can say is do that oem 220amp upgrade to them all haha. everything will be happier. it's only like 200$ new. auto parts store want almost that for cheap rebuilds.
the used one for 100$ on ebay I got was mint too.
I mean it's nice it's every 2 years normally, only been in places it was yearly and yearly added soon here. but that's shady penalizing you for having not ready monitors. wtf
oh sorry, I only found one of them so far to buy and am going to keep the standard one for now. should be a few one ebay thou.
I paid like 50$ shipped for this one.
I went from stock 2011 non adjustable to adjustable from earlier years. like 07-08
yeah normal yukon denali black leather.
I think this one said Escalade on the listing. the leather texture is a touch different. but I also haven't cleaned it and added any conditioner yet.
yeah, same same kinda, I have a alligator on one lead, so I like clipping it on the alt stud and then just touch the other to everything positive I can get to with a decent load on the same. then swap the clip to the alt case and do the same to all the neg and ground points I can easily get to...
honestly the best way to know if one is better than the other would be to look at your timing retard. this can be done with a cheap 30$ (over here) obd2 Bluetooth dongle and a phone app like torque for 5$ or even some free ones that show live data.
I pull mine up and on 87&89 I do see a little...
it is possible that one fuel will ping in your engine and another won't, most an old school carb thing when they didn't retard timing because of that averaging. some engines
what on earth is 88? is that some e based stuff, or just out of order mix between 87 and 89?
clone tech 2 is definitely the way to go. but my 50$ topdon dongle and phone app will read all the modules on my hybrid, just not display all the live data in a way I like for quick looks so I use torque app for that. add codes are there thou.
I use this little topdon more than I thought I...
I believe he doesn't hear it thru is auto system, I just added that as all I've dealt with. but I think he's alternator itself is so loug you can hear it inside the truck when driving. which seems wild.
on the big 3 setup for these trucks, I've never looked at it only got some of the cars...
so my yukon doesn't have an alternator. I know, weird hybrid things. but I have also had many gm vehicles and none of the alts made any noise unless battery terminals needed cleaning, and that was more thru the aftermarket radio than under hood.
I do have one of these ungraded gm hairbrush...
as much as this happens, I'm surprised someone hasn't marketed a additives just for lubing the top end of these things.
on a totally different side note, I know the epa sucks, but they get zero blame for this nonsense. this is all on gm. epa only cares about emissions, which is a reason why we...
