    Windshield wiper arm removal

Thanks 95. As a side note and for info for others, I got them off and re-positioned. I was unaware of the normal stress that was on the blades themselves in regular working position. After watching a video, I saw the guy push down toward the windshield on the arm where the joint is that...

    Windshield wiper arm removal

Sorry for resurrecting an older thread, but I'm curious of two things. 1. do these pullers help? 2. I have an 07 yukon and my wipers were bent up and away by a freakin car wash place. pissed me off. however, when trying to get them off to move them back, when i take the nut off, it "looks"...

    AC blowing luke cold...lol

Thanks Kbuskill. I will start with that and see what happens. I am about 20 minutes north of tampa. A friend has HP tuners for his ATS-V and Z06. I wonder if i buy the tokens needed for my truck that it would tell me the same info as a tech 2... Regardless, thanks for your time!!

    AC blowing luke cold...lol

Howdy, just looking for some quick suggestions hopefully. i searched a bunch of threads with mention of the blend door actuator reset and a myriad of other things. However, it seems as if what I am experiencing is slightly different in that I don't get hot air out of one set of vents vs...

Do I really need a new engine?

Sorry I am late to the thread, but your very first post and description sounds exactly like what happened to me when my Yukon stranded me in Miami on a business trip. Sitting at a light, truck died. Started it up and it ran fine to get to the customer site. Finished work for the day and drove...

GMT900 Bose Premium Amp to Luxury Amp Upgrade

Just an update after reading through this thread again as well as the Sierra thread. I have no idea why I thought I had a center channel, but I don't. I have all of the same RPO codes as you except the Nav code. My glovebox shows UQA, U2K, U42, UK6. I assume this means I have the premium amp...

Thx reebok, completely forgot about the codes in the glove box. smh. lol

GMT900 Bose Premium Amp to Luxury Amp Upgrade

I hope you don't mind if I piggyback into this thread and ask a question as it seems you did quite a bit of work on this and have had awesome results. So first, thanks for the write up, pics, and details. Now, my question is this. I see you referring to regular and luxury amps and I saw the...

    Some basic questions

Hi folks, First, yes, I did a search and also read back about 4 pages. I have a few simple questions/comments and wanted to get the thoughts of the experts please: 1. I have a 2077 Yukon SLT with with Bose and factory rear entertainment. No nav. 2. About 3 months ago while I was driving...

    6.2 liter longevity

Thanks for the reply. So to be clear, AFM is active fuel management? Forgive my ignorance. Is this the equivalent to the cylinder deactivation? I have this turned off in my Yukon via my Trinity as I get better mileage with it turned off. lol. Have yet to try the fuel economy setting as I...

    6.2 liter longevity

Howdy folks, Been a while since I posted. Still have the 2007 Yukon and am now up to 160K miles. I'm considering an Escalade or Denali for my next rig but wanted to check and see what the general stance was on the 6.2. I realize it's been around a while in some variation or another, and I...

    Basic stereo speaker question

Sorry for the basic question, but I've been out of the car audio scene for a long long time. The one thing I do remember from way back is that a Bose system has there own little special "wiring/speakers". Having said that, all I really want to do right now is replace the factory speakers in...

    Replaced front stabilizer bar links

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I'd rather search and respond to the proper thread than start a new one. Having said that, is this replacement of the stabilizer links done due to a popping sound when turning at semi slow speeds with some force put on the suspension? Meaning, I recently...

Borla Pro XS, Airaid Jr, SLP Tip installed... Video

Any update on your exhaust? I know from experience that almost all mufflers will continue to get louder until about 3-4K miles. At least for me, it always took about that long to fully break in. Plus, as others have stated, shorter is louder. I've been thinking about doing something to mine...

    New to me Diablosport trinity

It's a simple on/off as far as removing it completely. I verified that it doesn't switch into V4 mode as well. As for adjusting the parameters when it's on, I think the only thing you can do is actually load the canned economy tune. When doing that, it keeps the truck in V4 mode a bit longer...

    New to me Diablosport trinity

Yes you can. You can also changed the transmission tuning % for each gear changeover as well as shift firmness. 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 etc. It's pretty slick. I still need to log some data and adjust AFR's appropriately.

    New to me Diablosport trinity

yes, It was about a month old. I loaded the 93 tune onto the truck for the trip north and left all other setting stock. This yielded about 19mpg running at ~76mph with cruise and AC on the entire way. Little bursts here and there to get past traffic etc while cruising. I loaded the 87 tune...

    New to me Diablosport trinity

Just picked this up for a crazy good price so i couldn't pass it up. I'm under the impression that with the exception of Black Bear, Wheatley, and Nelson being superior for spot on tuning, the diablosport trinity is a pretty good tool for tuning and can be custom tuned. Right now I have the 93...

    100k mile maintenance?

I figured it was easier to piggyback onto this thread rather than start another one. I was about to change out my plugs on my Yukon this weekend and unfortunately I didn't buy new wires as well. Having said that, after fighting the very first plug wire, I was kind of scratching my head. I...

    AFM delete by dealer?????

For the 5.3, it's not limited to the 6speed. I have an 07 with a 4 speed and have AFM. Just some info. This is actually the first that I've read that this is directly proportional to me burning a quart of oil every 3K miles though. Interesting. Will need to be looking into a tune sooner...

    Moisture in headlight

So, I'm accustomed to being in a northern environment and whenever I get moisture inside, it's just a matter or unplugging the bulb for half a day to dissipate the moisture. Fast forward to now, and I'm in Florida. Not very many low humidity days around here. Anyone have a solution to...

    Replacement shocks

Awesome folks, thanks for the replies. I assumed Bilstein HD's were the way to go, but since everything else is different on this compared to my Titan, it was worth asking. Thanks again.

    Replacement shocks

So, I see a lifted and a street suspension forum, but nothing for basic stock suspension. I figure the lifted folks would be able to answer just as easy as anyone. I need shocks on my truck. 2007 Yukon. Curious what the better aftermarket shocks are for our vehicles that keep a nice smooth...

2010 Yukon Denali shake at 50 and 80mph

I'd be surprised if it was a tire scalloping. Especially a Michelin after only 15K miles on them. Since it doesn't seem to happening when braking and only at certain speeds, I wouldn't think it was rotors either. What does confuse me is that you don't get the feeling from the steering wheel...

What in the world is on there Tahoe

Maybe the older models had 3.73's, but according to the article I posted, the 2013 models have 3.08's.
