    The twin hoes

I was just at a salvage yard... 95% of all GM suv's didn't have much of the front end usable parts left. But I was surprised how many good 'under-hood' plastic parts were left.

    2005 Yukon shock conversion

I learned how our rear coils springs are different, to work with whatever shock option you are supposed to have. If a rear shock was changed, the springs MUST conform to the weight/strength of the shock requirements, or the ride can be ruined and/or unsafe. Specific OEM shocks are designed to...

2005 Yukon - fog light adjuster screw

I went to the local 'Pick Your Part'.... I got a couple fog light adjuster knobs and fortunately, I also got the 4" adjuster bolt. GUESS WHAT?? The earlier Yukon 4" bolts are of a SMALLER thread diameter !! ( Also, the earlier spring is thinner & longer ) The fog lamp mounts are the...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I agree...... It seems to look good, for the selling price, ..if it needs fixing, it could be a good price still. ( One observation..... The color of the carpets..... They look darker than I would expect with the interior color.... Uh, I have seen "good looking" used cars, that were in a...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

On the SURFACE, it seems "very good"...... I considered an '81 Honda 900 motorcycle.... Pictures were 'very good'... in person, it may have been stored in salt water...... ( Just saying, considering the price offered )

Apparently Ford doesn't like profits: alienating the majority of Americans

STUPIDITY : " Sustainable / Renewable" fuels....... Formula 1, INDY Car, etc., ..... REALLY??? 'Fossil Fuel'.... Pumped out of the ground, transported to a refinery into gasoline, then trucked to gas stations, ( and remaining liquids used for 90% of everything we use. " Renewable...

Apparently Ford doesn't like profits: alienating the majority of Americans

"Facts" verses "imagination" / " cult thought" / " money"...... In the long run of ownership, considering tax subsidies we all pay into, ( manufacturing & purchasing an EV ), home charging / electric usage-fees, tire wear due to the weight of an EV, resale value , etc, .... EV : $17.00 ...

Light bar mounting in lower bumper opening

I'm looking for a thin light bar to fit in this useless area between the tow hocks. I prefer a tinted glass so it doesn't stand out. But bright. ( 20" x 2" )

    Shocks

The seller, inspects the vehicles for 'evidence' of newer shocks, he removes. The Sachs 'Nivomat' shocks he sent me were in a brand new condition ( The OEM decal was also original and clean) . I spoke with him, and he has been doing this for a long time. He also guarantees them.

    Ignition Coils

Personally, from past experience, MSD is not a quality product anymore. Edelbrock makes a Gen III & Gen IV LS ( '97 to 2013 )

Yea... I had my rear main seal done about 7 months ago..... My '05 is drip-free ( except for a tiny-tiny drip from behind the brake reservoir .. I have a little piece of a rag stuck under it..... ( cheaper than replacing it)

    New-Nivomats... ( Old subject/new problem ) Do they exist??

Your rear springs are specific to your RPO codes as a "premium smooth ride" , .. depending on your smooth ride version. VIN # check at the dealer will tell.

    Shocks

My friend, Jon, with Truckee Surplus has nearly brand new 'used' Nivomats as a pair for less than $300 including shipping. He specializes in shocks also. He's been doing it for years. I just returned a pair, because ( after all my research), my Yukon ZW7 smooth ride does not use them. Nivomat...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Is the 'new' steering wheel / controls a similar year as yours? Also similar column? If so, maybe the harness a close match?

When I posted the "boat-pool" photo, .. I also "apologized in advance"..... About the "plan B". Who knows, the hull may be saved. They are planning to enter the next race in Huntington Beach, Ca,. In October.

    How to stiffen suspension/stop swaying?

Factory sway bars are hollow. They are not heavy..... Helwig replacements are a solid 'chrome molly' bar, and yes, they make a difference.
