Has anyone had any success replacing their radio antenna? My antenna broke on my 01 Tahoe. I took half the dash apart and put some string on the cable before pulling it out of the firewall but the string broke. The hole seems like it's right behind the heater core. Now I have a new radio antenna...
I had my rear A/C worked on in my 2001 Tahoe and the blend door actuator is not working properly. It goes very slow. When I turn it from cold to hot it doesn't seem to go all the way open for heat. It only get warm.
Should I replace it? Is there a proper way to calibrate these blend door...

I want to replace the backlight bulb for the memory / heated seat switch on the door of my 01 Tahoe. I want to replace it with something a little brighter. I don't want put a lot of modification or money into it. What bulb should I put into it and the bulb type?
I'm thinking about going this path. As I'm not having luck finding a connector to plug-in to back of the factory radio.
Suggestions on a decent aftermarket radio as this is not my primary vehicle that I drive everyday.?
I'm looking to hookup my external SiriusXM radio to my 2001 Tahoe and wanted to connect it directly to the factory radio. What's the best way to connect satellite to the factory radio? Is there a interface I can buy to make the connection?
So I have talked to someone at JEGS and he recommends that I stay with the current single pin caliper in the rear rather then changing to dual pin as it will perform better.
So I'm thinking of getting this kit http://www.jegs.com/i/Power+Stop/419/K2010/10002/-1

I know how to change my brakes. That's not a problem. 1K is for parts and labor. No way I want to dish out 1K for brakes.
So I have sent Rookie an email to get prices. I'm also looking at this package

I have a 2001 Tahoe LT. I'm in need of brakes replacement. The shop quoted me 1K for all around rotors & pads & rear calipers. They said I have single pin calipers. Do I need to stick with single pin calipers?
I don't drive my Tahoe a lot.
So I'm in need of a brake job. The shop quoted me about 1K for all around rotors & pads and rear calipers. I'm going to save some money and do it myself. Thinking of ordering this kit for my 2001 Tahoe LT http://www.jegs.com/i/Power+Stop/419/K2010/10002/-1

They are going to start with replacing the oil pump since it seems to be going bad with the low oil pressure. Hopefully I haven't done much damage to the engine at this point. Found it interesting that the oil pump replacement is more expensive then the lifters.
About a month ago I just bought a 2001 Chevy Tahoe LT with 145k miles on it. Excellent condition with new tires. Needed a newer truck to pull my boat and winter driving. Never owned a Chevy before.
A few days ago I was pulling my boat. Everything was going fine and the oil pressure gauge...
