Yep, Before IAN in Ft Myers, you couldn’t buy any kind of gas can anywhere…
I went 36 hrs before the storm hit at 4 am and filled 5-5 gal cans in the back of the Denali and still waited in line. Drove home pretty gingerly as I was a rolling bomb. Only went 3 days without power miraculously and...
Has always killed the deal for me. Most any desirable vehicle has to have premium, and they are charging + .80 over regular in my area. Gangsters.... Diesel is +.30 over RUL and I go 40% further on it.....
Baloney.... I have a 7-year-old Jag that only has 39K on it and it's in pristine shape and still gets annual maintenance. Same vehicle with 139K on it? I wouldn't touch it....
Which one would you rather buy used?
I have received several OTA updates that were helpful to my native Nav system. Not sure if it updated the actual maps, but I would only do this say every 4 years or so. The roads don't change THAT much and I'm not exploring the country, so I wouldn't spend money on it...
Mine was the stock Duramax Emblem, and we just covered it with black film. You can still see the Duramax name thru the film reasonably well. Plus, when they don't see dual tailpipes...they know....
Thats why I usually go to Sam's Club and just buy the best AGM they have available. They change them for free, know how to handle practically every battery situation, usually attach a tender that saves all your settings and 1/2 hr later you are back on the road for years. Not worth the hassle to...
Another option is to get the best stock wheels you like and then get them black gloss powder coated. They look sharp, wear well and can have this done pretty cheaply. I did and I'm very happy !
2 years no problems, don't expect any. But they usually fall apart later in life not sooner. My Jeep GC went 6 years and still no problems with air ride in it.
The difference from the worst fuel (assuming uncontaminated) and the best fuel really isn’t that far. Other things had to affect your mileage.
Ive used everything from the corner station to Amoco, BP, and Shell.
No additives, not necessary in my book, and mileage doesn’t vary 5%.
How and where I...
If I waited for everything I thought would be better later, I'd still be driving my old 2008 MDX. Not going to have too many more new vehicles. Buy what you like now, them get another one in 3-5 years if they are THAT much better....
Recommended also means that if you chose not to follow the "recommendations" then GM does not have to extend you warranty if the problem you have can be traced to not following "recommendations."
IE: Using another weight oil than recommended, or putting "universal" coolant in your cooling...
That’s why I got an extended warranty, air ride….it’s just one of many things that are super expensive on this vehicle. If they fall apart, I wanna be covered as long as I own it and I am.
I’ve owned all diesel since 2004. There really isn’t any other choice for me. I know what they deliver. I know their benefits.
Have never really been let down by any of them. If this vehicle didn’t have this option, I wouldn’t own it…..
I'm actually pretty happy with the 21 native nav. With data it functions pretty well and has received some decent upgrades and enhancements every 2-3 months. Doesn't monopolize my system like AA or ACP.
While I don’t agree with it, people have to start getting out of the mindset that once they buy something anything that goes with it or improves it should be free for life.
Those days are rapidly coming to a close. Within a few years, anything worth having is going to be on a pay to play...
On my Home link I had position one programmed for my main garage door and position two for my barn garage door. I changed the opener transmitter in position ones opener and now I can’t get position one on the Home link in the vehicle to accept any new programming.
Is there a way to clear out...
Best way to handle DEF? 1st low level warning, dump in 2.5 and move on. Never out, never gets old. Can go at least 6 months unless towing. If towing plan on monthly fill-ups.
The LM2 warms up faster than any diesel I have owned, and most diesels don't "Warm up" by idling. You have to work them to generate heat. Want fast heat? Plug them in or give them 15-30 sec to normalize and get going.
Let's say I use a PF 66 GM filter, I would like to use a larger longer filter in its place, but I don't understand how to figure out what is a bigger filter that would fit that same filter base, is this easy to figure out?
