2015's blow up as soon as you drive off the lot. Tell your loved ones what you need to and go get it!
Just kidding (kind of I think). They really do seem to have a lot of problems relative to the later years if you go by posts on this forum. I'd do like Miami-Dade said above and try to find...
I started hating you when you said you had a '99 2 door Z71 with only 68K miles. ;)
Have you tried any of the typical degreaser things? Just be sure to try it on a fairly hidden are in case it discolors the carpet.
An '07 with 250k? Not for me. Previous gen and that mileage wouldn't throw up any red flags. But not for a high price. Not that there aren't any '07 - '14 that haven't gone that high miles just fine. I just trust the older ones more based on experience.
To clarify my post above, for me to pay $8500 for a '97 that truck would need to look like it was purchased new, sealed up, and stored in a private warehouse with a dedicated employee who performed required time sensitive maintenance at regular intervals. Or you'd just have to seriously want it...
I'd take the door panel off and check it out myself first. Could be something simple. Very easy to do (I used a cheap trim pulling set), though you can break some easily replaced plastic clips if you go too fast. I have a link somewhere that I'll try to find later.
If I get one it will be new with extended warranty and I'll drive that ****** into retirement (14-19 years away) as it slowly builds itself into a badass overland rig that I'll never use. Or I could just get another Tahoe.
Can't remember if I posted this or not, but a few months ago I turned around and chased down a lady in a 4WD two door in this body style (I had a maroon '96 just like it). Was going to offer her cash on the spot (it was in a mall parking lot right beside my bank). By the time I got turned...
The 3 ton in the first pic is the one I have. Just went out in the garage and looked. Got it on sale at a really good price. Can't remember what it was but I do remember that I wouldn't have bought it if it weren't for the lower price.
And I like that cross beam...
Hardly luxury, but shit no I wouldn't trade it on an electric vehicle. Love my car and all the gas it drinks. But with regards to trading...I admit I'm an SUV guy. Really missing having one. Been eyeballing a Voodoo Blue 4Runner TRD Pro lately.
