New here with new to me burban

Hey, I’m Dave and recently purchased a 2012 suburban LT with 5.3, 4x4, with 50,000 miles on it. Pretty excited to get to know it better and figure out good reliable upgrades for it. I put good floor mats in it and tinted windows . Trying to figure what I need to do to make and keep this a reliable vehicle for many years and miles to come. I’ll snap some pictures tm. Im from Southwest Ohio. Thanks for all the info !

Hey Dave! Welcome & Happy Thanksgiving. Congrats, you’re ready for Winter in Ohio. Search the threads for best place to purchase a Tech II scan tool that’s factory correct and allows your truck to communicate with you.

It’s the equivalent of cutting to the front of the line, passing the dealer and being directed to the replacement part/diagnostic counter vs. laying out $100 bills for a shop to walk on and pick up when u leave.

What part of Southwest Ohio are you from? I get down to the Cincinnati, OH/Covington, KY area for work on a regular basis.

Good bourbon in that neck of the woods. Ya’ll can keep Skyline Chili though.

This was the day we bought it. Yes I bought it from a ford dealer, which I was not thrilled with. But I did find the previous owners old registration in the glove box during test drive and called her and she bought it new and was 71 yrs old and had GM dealer service it. And she traded it in on a used Acadia at the ford dealer. She had only good things to say about it. I figured she had nothing to loose by telling truth since it was no longer hers.
