anyways, finally got off my ass today and installed my 2nd pair of retrofits I made a new set for 2 reasons: 1) I hate the amber reflector on the OEM housings 2) I spent like 16 hours on my first set, and wanted to prove to myself that I could do a better job the second time. My initial...

[Update 04/07] 2006 Yukon Denali Winter Beater [SOLD]

been so busy with work I haven't even put in my new retrofits yet right now I'm trying to decide if I'm going to keep the vehicle or sell it... next week I should be pulling the Grand Prix out of storage, and don't see any point in keeping a $6000 truck around that I won't use again until...

Return the Mechman if you can and go with CES instead. Much better product at a much better price. Also ditch the Northstar AGM and go with lithium. Again, much better performance and a much better price. Other than that, it looks solid!

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

it actually didn't drive any differently than usual from inside the vehicle, between the exhaust and my car audio, I couldn't hear any noise at all it wasn't until my coworker pointed it out, and I drove home with all the windows down, that I even noticed anything and yeah I'm hoping my...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Ended up being that they were under torqued. It was pretty much my first time ever doing brakes / new rims / whatever and I only used a torque gun, which didn't do the job. The root cause was that I used lug bolts that were not designed for the application. I was very fortunate that my...

[Update 04/07] 2006 Yukon Denali Winter Beater [SOLD]

from what I've read, it's fairly common on older vehicles in the north. with all the rust, it just takes a slightly over-torque and they're toast

I figure they're only $100 a set or so, and I'm willing to learn for that price yeah that video was not very helpful at all for me lol. granted I had the wrong type of projector and bulbs and everything to make it work, but there was also a lot of information in the video that wasn't necessary...

[Update 04/07] 2006 Yukon Denali Winter Beater [SOLD]

did my 2nd retrofit turns out the H1 7.1 is VERY different from the H1 7.0, and this new kit turned 12 hours into less than 2 waiting for sealant to dry over night and then I'll get them installed and tested also making a YouTube how to guide because it's so simple, but there are no good...

[Update 04/07] 2006 Yukon Denali Winter Beater [SOLD]

I couldn't figure out how to splice clips together to show the LEDS / HIDS side by side like in the pics, but here are some individual videos I would suggest turning the sound down / off, because it's either me talking to people or music LEDs on a normal night: LED low visiblity snow night...

sorry, I thought I made the transition clear in that post lol INITIALLY, the high beams were pointed down, solenoids on the top of the setup we had to cut the brackets and make it so they were in the correct position amen to the "enough of headlights for now". pretty much where I'm at lol...

I'm not sure what you mean by needing the projectors right side up. That's how they are installed. They have a clear cut off: other than the driver side needing rotated to the right a bit, and raised up a little, it seems to look very close to what you have when aired up

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Do you think there is still an issue after modifying them? When I watch cars pass, the low beams remain below the mirrors, which is what all of the videos suggested. If I aim them as low on the garage as I've seen, then I can't see anything but the immediate foreground ;/

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I don't think they blind people now. I just drove around for 30 minutes and nobody flashed me. I don't know how you see anything with them aimed that low though, mine sit like halfway up the garage door. So far I'm very pleased with the results, but there's still a lot of work to be done...
