What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I don't think they blind people now. I just drove around for 30 minutes and nobody flashed me.

I don't know how you see anything with them aimed that low though, mine sit like halfway up the garage door.




So far I'm very pleased with the results, but there's still a lot of work to be done.

In cutting up the brackets, we made it so the driver side light doesn't line up exactly (projector needs to be rotated).

I'm going to go ahead and buy new lights and a 7.0 kit and try again.

My truck might have been aired out and laying on the ground in that pic, I don’t remember. I do know that I measured the height at 30 feet away or as far away as I could in my driveway and followed the instructions for setting the height at that distance according to The Retrofit Source. And of course you have a lot of output, it’s like they’re on high beam all the time like I said. Just because nobody flashed you doesn’t mean anything, people are scared to do that nowadays with all the cases of road rage. Yes, people might go off on you for something like flashing your brights at them. Go out and have a buddy drive towards you a few times and have them tell you if they’re ok. Please don’t drive with them like that, it’s even worse than those a- holes with hid kits in reflector housings that scatter light and blind you. I don't want to sound like I'm preaching but blinding headlights are dangerous. Oh and BTW mine work awesome, best headlights I've ever driven with.

Do you think there is still an issue after modifying them?

When I watch cars pass, the low beams remain below the mirrors, which is what all of the videos suggested.

If I aim them as low on the garage as I've seen, then I can't see anything but the immediate foreground ;/

Not sure what you mean by after modifying them. They need to be installed with the projectors right side up. As far as how high the light is when cars pass, that doesn’t take into account how high it gets the further away the other cars are. Your light pattern as they’re installed has no cutoff line at the top so the light angles up as it travels away so instead of being 2” higher at 30 feet (or whatever it’s supposed to be, I forget) you’re way way above that, and it goes way up the further away you get. With bi-xenon HID projectors like these the shutter that gives you that flat upper cutoff is supposed to open at high beam and then the light goes high like that. So you’re trying to aim them on your garage door using the bottom of the beam pattern being on the top so that’s why you have to aim them like that. If you aim them way up you should be able to see the flat cutoff line on the bottom instead of the top like it’s supposed to be. They need to be flipped right side up, no way around it. This is mine at ride height, that first pic was aired out.

I’m confused; a ways back you said you installed the projectors upside down, then you said the high beams activate downward, then the pic I thought was low beam was actually high beam...never mind,carry on...I have no idea what you have going on lol.

Finally gave her a good bath. Tried shine armor for the first time I was impressed. But I think she is looking good

Looks good You're getting there! I went back to my shop today to work on adjusting my lights. When you go back at it to rotate your drivers side make sure you adjust your bulbs hot spot first then do the rotation. Last night mine looked to be out of rotation kinda bad. Today I loosened my bulb holders and moved the bulb around to get that bright circle or hot spot right at the cutoff and 1/3 below. After I got the hot spot close my rotation didnt seem as bad. Needless to say I'vd had enough of headlights for now I'm not blinding anyone so I'm taking a break lol.
Pm me if you have questions about alignment or adjusting the hot spot and shimming your bulbs.

I was thinking the same thing. The shield for the high beam should drop down...

However the solenoid wiring should be on the bottom. I'm so confused by his set up.

Also initial pics looked like they were high beams and upside down. But the latest picture looked correct.
