Weird Coolant Issue
Im saying this because of the of large number of water pumps leaking, and the small number of thermostat gaskets I’ve seen leaking. Take a hard look at your water pump, and make sure it’s not coolant running down to the thermostat from the water pump.- ks03

Need some suggestions on mods for the Denali
Not really a mods, but if I have my y pipe off for any reason I’ll be putting in new manifold bolts and gaskets. Mine are all intact, just seen so many with broken off bolts. Maybe put some dye in the engine oil a week ahead of time, if the rear main or whatever that plate is on the back of the...- ks03

No Engine Heat
On mine, I bought a 1/2” aluminum rod from Home Depot. Drilled a 3/32 hole down one end, then cut off about a half inch chunk, chamfered the ends a little with a file. Took the hose off the reservoir end, slid in my new restrictor. I’m guessing the hole through might be on the small side, but...- ks03

No, pulled the engine, because that’s what I thought was wrong. Saw the scar on the converter, saw the bolt on the trans, grabbed the converter still attached to the flex plate and got the engine to budge by hand... removed, locktited, reinstalled every pump bolt one at a time, reassembled. Last time I worked on one that I thought was locked up, trans pump bolt had backed out and locked up the converter. Trans been touched in the last 10k?- ks03
