So i bought a set of 285-70-17 Firestone Destination MT tires for the tahoe and I had them for a few months now. I overall like them, they are a great tire, plenty of grip and look amazing. But.......here is the thing....Highway they are absolutely driving me crazy. They aren't even terribly...
be careful with that rust spot, on my 07 I started working on what I thought was a quarter size section that was bubbling slightly and it turns out it was a softball size section that rusted out with a 2" section that was completely about to fall off. Few months down the line it started to...
looks great, I kinda regret not getting the KO2s, the MTs on the truck right now howl at highway speed to the point that it is really bugging me. Well done, looks great!
There area also universal overhead consoles you can look into, either that or look for a long overhead console from a different vehicle and retrofit it for the hoe. When I had a crown vic, I put in an overhead console from an explorer, wired it up and all. not saying to use the same one but it...
Hey guys here is the link

I have used the above link in the past with a lot of success determining which wire is what on my 2007 SSV Tahoe I used to own. You have to navigate down to the Tahoe...

When I had my SSV Tahoe, this link REALLY helped me out with sorting out the loose wiring. I was able to locate most of wires and even reconnect the flasher module with a simple toggle switch.
Hope...
they pop up on ebay from time to time, craigslist would be also a good venue for a used one. Patience will get you something decent. I would also check your local used police car dealerships to see if they will sell you some overstock items
I have a GoRhino, the push bar itself has holes in...
I bought my first used police car from Asia motors, I purchased my second from Chicago and helped a couple friends buy theirs from Chicago motors as well. I would never do business with asia motors again. Chicago motors was nice to work with and accomodating to negotiating certain extras into...
how are the holes on the roof sealed? or if you even have any... The d pillar leak could be coming from either standing water accumulating or holes further up front that flow toward the rear as the weight shifts by driving the car. Also check the rear trunk to see how the wires are run to the...
not bad, kinda torn on which look i like more. might try the plastidip to see if i like it. I dont know if i could commit to permanent paint due to the cost of these freakin center caps!!!
thanks for the info, really cleared up the loose ends for me. I think I'll probably go with the non coated ACDs and ACD ceramic professional pads when the time comes. The stock rotors look good so ill just save those, machine them, and spray them lightly so i can reuse them next time it comes...
yea as mentioned they usually go for 300-500 depending on the condition of the tires on them. my set off CL was 350 with decent tires and tpms; however, if you were selling yours with those KO2s i personally would have paid a good amount more if they have decent thread!
Thanks for all the replies, I used r1 in the past along with the autozone premium pads/ rotors as well. I'm familiar with different advantages of different rotor designs but never really paid too much attention to coatings. I am also familiar with big brake Brembo setups like I had on my jeep...
I searched for common asked questions about brakes but nothing came up concerning this that I could find.
Looking into ac delco and r1 rotors with a ceramic pad setup. I want to know from the people who had non coated rotors in their vehicle. How long was your life on the rotors? Did you...
very nice, great job! I'm surprised this isn't done more with these trucks, it's cheap to do and you can either do a quick hookup like I did or a oem looking setup like you did. The convenience of the wireless charger is totally worth less than $20 in parts!
Again great job, looks good!!
