What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

From my experience now, I'd buy used calipers with brackets from a fresh (2017-2019) Tahoe/Silverado/Escalade off eBay. You'll get OEM quality for around $100 each. Btw, 2017 brakes will fit 2001. Here is a guy doing exactly that: https://www.drive2.ru/l/501641186130264242/ The site is in...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Sounds like a vent solenoid. The problems with the fueling probably related too, but there are some gas stations that just got too much flow. I don't have fueling problems anywhere, but Costco. So, at Costco gas station I just put in the fueling gun at an angle, so the seal is not sealing, and...

07+ Brake upgrade on a 00-06 NBS, is it worth it?

Rear brakes on 2001 are better than on 2015. 2 vs 1 piston and the rotors are more massive

    2006 Yukon 5.3 mobile super oil . 174,000 miles

I use Mobile 1 10w40 and 5w30 high mileage. it's amazing. High mileage oil usually contains ingredients to make seals softer, hence preventing the leaks

I am looking at those as well. Those are the only P-rated tires in 275/70R18. The are factor tires on Titans. How do you like them?

    06 Tahoe Blower stays on

If you have dual climate control (driver & passanger), then this is what you need: https://www.ebay.com/itm/ACDelco-15-81773-A-C-Power-Module/292007304766 I've just replaced it this past weekend. The part at that ebay link is the cheapest I could find. Labor takes about 30 mins - 1 hour , and...

    Front seats swap possibility

I myself saw an NBS Silverado with NNBS seats and center console. The seats were manual. For the power seats, it depends. It is definitely possible, if there's no memory option. If there is, it might be difficult.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I will sound like a snob, but I always use and recommend OEM (or OEM supplier) for engine, transmission and brakes. In our case do think that OEM tie rods are the best you can get. You can find them pretty cheap on eBay

First Mod of importance...Back Up Assist

That's actually a standard feature on the GMT800 Escalades. I honestly love it more that a camera. Got used to it beeping when backing up so much, that when I disabled it once I hit a wall, since I know literally parking and backing up by ear :-)

Go with Dorman replacement - they kinda cut in the middle & you don't have to pull the diff cover to replace the backing plates

    Interior lighting question

There is a caveat that not everyone knows. The courtesy lights will work perfectly (the ones that come on with doors open). But the vanity/reading lights will barely light or no light at all. The reason - GM's Inadvertent Power Supply system. This system disables those lights after 10 mins of...

Nice work. Did you bend it a little bit or installed as is? I've seen people cut it a bit, then bend and weld back to restore the original position. I have mine waiting for a its time to install :-)
