    Major Service

Are there currently any signs hinting of problems? Any weird noises, vibrations or smells? If this has been yours all along, or at least for a while, and you know what kind of maintenance has been done... I would tend to not replace stuff for the sake of replacing stuff. A reliable part that...

ABS engages at low speed, sensors replaced, what to try next?

Maybe it was your post I was selectively remembering bits and pieces of - LOL

ABS engages at low speed, sensors replaced, what to try next?

Sorry... I was thinking SKF and typing SKP. At some point, I found somewhere on a different forum, that SKF was a Timken product (or vice-versa). I swear I saw a photo of a GM hub that was ordered Timken, but part received was stamped SKF. I could be wrong on that. Wouldn't be the first time...

ABS engages at low speed, sensors replaced, what to try next?

I got the premium hubs from NAPA for the price of standard-grade hubs RockAuto had, when I happened to hit a 20% off discount code for NAPA online purchases. I did online purchase and picked up local (no shipping and in-stock same day). That might have been just luck in hitting that, but it was...

ABS engages at low speed, sensors replaced, what to try next?

Just noticed question #2... Absolutely! A failing hub can 100% cause the sensor to misread or not read at all sometimes. ABS speed sensor codes can definitely be the canary in the coal mine. Ask me how I know that one... Never fail to investigate hub condition whenever ABS issues pop up...

ABS engages at low speed, sensors replaced, what to try next?

Unless you were getting ABS lights or codes, I kind of have a feeling your issue is not ABS or speed sensor related. In terms of your shim question on the sensors, try this: Remove the sensor on the side with the shims. Remove the shims. Place the sensor in the hole and leave the bolt out...

    Odd symptoms P0336 Code

If it thinks the amount of fuel is within range for the amount of air maybe no code. On my Jeep, I was not getting any O2 sensor code. I am guessing that because the excess air coming in (according to the upstream sensor readings) was making the computer think it was starving for fuel, it upped...

    Odd symptoms P0336 Code

Certainly a possibility. New connector seems like it would be cheap enough to try.

    Odd symptoms P0336 Code

I would look at STFT1 and STFT2 on a cold start to see if the system is drowning in excess fuel or not. Just to rule that out.

    Odd symptoms P0336 Code

There is a chance that the rough idle when cold could be unrelated to the P0336 code. If you have a Tech 2 (or access to a bi-directional scanner) that will allow you to do a CPS re-learn, you might see if the code returns afterwards. On rough idle when cold, there is often a condition that...

    Positive remarks

Sure looks great! Almost new. They are a sweet ride. I'll bet the QX60 also requires Ultra at the pumps, too... $$$ Mine is perfectly happy with 87 octane.

    Shaky mirror

Not sure what the PO put on for mine. They are holding up really well. They don't scream "after-market junk". Fit and finish are good. That is what made me think they came from another model that might have originally had chrome covers on the outside mirrors. If no other models did come with...

    Repaint Olympic White

I don't know anything about the specific colors you mentioned. But, I would suggest taking a piece of sheet metal, lay down some primer (gray primer would be good base), give it a few coats and hold it up to the truck in good light to compare. Even if you knew the exact color formula on the...

    New Impact Wrench

I found a Dewalt XR20 at a pawn shop for $180 with battery and charger. New! (No, it didn't "just fall off the truck...") I love it! I believe it is considered a mid-range torque rating. Max torque is 800 ft. lbs. in high or low gear. Enough power for anything I have thrown at it so far.

Yukon Denali XL (2011) - Radiator Replacement - Oil Cooler Line Issue

I did cooling system on my 05 Jeep Rubicon. When I did, I had the radiator removed. The upper an lower hoses were disconnected. I flushed the worst out of the block with a garden hose. Chunks of rust and filth came out the lower hose for a minute or so. I ran the hose until water ran clear. I...

Write up interest? Budget E-Fan swap, Measuring Tire Clearance, Brake Caliper Rebuilding, Cam Swap, Etc?

LOL - I was just browsing the internet about oil pressure sensors... Case in point found on TYF being the best forum out there with the best people: On an unnamed Silverado/Sierra forum a guy asks: "Ok first off this site wouldn't let me put my actual vehicle in .. I have a 2010 Yukon XL...

    wiring mess

Looks like the same parts I got, but obviously a bit of a mess on your hands there... That is why I paid the extra $25 or so to have them make me the "Ready Harness". Plug an play, solid connections. They do all the work for you. Worth every penny! Here is the color codes for what is supposed...

New owner, should 4wd cluster light be in in 4wd?

My 04 Z71 has the 4 button electronic control. Nothing on the cluster lights, even though you can see a "ghost" of a 4WD indicator on the panel. The only thing that changes is the indicator light on whatever button is active at the time. Solid light is in that mode. Blinking light is during...

You are both 100% correct! This is THE best vehicle owner's forum I have ever belonged to. The folks here are helpful, will go out of their way to assist in any way possible, are willing to share their expertise while being open to learning new tricks. All of this seems to happen is a...

I can’t get a break I just got this damn thing fixed

I changed mine out in the barber shop parking lot. Had to get Dorman from NAPA, as they were open and the closest. I got the plastic parts, not the metal... I do believe they have an o-ring in them. They did click and seat properly. No leaks. No issues.

    knock sensor selection

I had a decent buying experience with Chinacrdiags. System showed in stock and it was. It shipped out within a day or so. Shipped faster than I expected via DHL. Had it in hand less than a week. Not bad from all the way over there... Happy with the purchase! I save a bit of money, as I just...
