What yall have is obviously working fine since yall seem to like it. If you bottom out the shock you will definitely know it lol. I am probably overthinking it.
He updated his thread and said his new bushing was working good so far, but wants to put more miles on it before he makes a final...
A note about the threads left on the bottom of the shock. When I installed mine I was very careful to make sure that at ride height the shock sat right in the middle of its travel range. I made a little mark on the shaft with a sharpie before I put things together. The reason for this is you...
Those shocks are from the C5 pro system, they are about $400 each, and are about 1.5" higher than using a normal mount and my bottom brackets. http://www.qa1.net/qa1_motorsports/drag-and-street/shocks-and-struts/stock-mount-shocks-and-struts/corvette-coil-over-shocks/double-adjustable.html

Just ordered some more pieces cut....would you guys be interested in a group buy?
Lets say if I can get at least 5 guys that want either full sets or uppers/lowers I will take 10% off. So lowers and uppers would be $162 shipped, and a full set would be $284.
Let me know!
Not sure about the ball joint press...I tried it in a big vice but couldnt budge them so I took it to my 20ton air press and it was very easy pushing a button haha.
The upper ball joint is easy to get out since its just pressed in...loosen the nut and tap it a few times with a hammer.
The...
They are the upper control arm bushings. They are offset so they push the UCA out a little bit. The cams are included in the one I posted. The bushings offer 1.5 degrees, and the cams offer an additional 1.5 degrees. It took me about an hour to do both sides complete removal of old and install...
I have these on mine and plenty of alignment potential, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bel-4955
I had the same problem with not enough camber adjustment. Thats a product of going low, not necessarily how you drop it.
No its been gone for several years, it was a tvs1900.
Keep your foot out of it and mileage will be the same. I actually got better mileage with a 408 and that blower and I did with a stock 5.3. This was in a lifted ext cab on 35s though.
I havent really talked about full build over here, but this is the current one:
And an old one:
Personally the tvs blower is a lot more street friendly. I would really go with one of those if I were one of you guys. Turbos are fun, but have a whole lot more problems to solve and require...
for the bump stop I just got under there with the drill and drill straight up through the middle of the lower control arm so the bump stop hit flat against the upper part. It's very easy to drill actually. The bump stop has a 3/8 inch bolt that you just bolt to the whole you just drilled. you...
Take off the valve cover and see if one of the rockers is loose or wobbly for that cylinder. However, since the shop said it had no compression that is either a piston/ring failure, or a valve failure. I would do a leak down test before you take the head off, that way you can at least narrow it...
Do the swap at the same time that way you can just remove the Tbars completely. After that its just the two bolts on the frame and the lower ball joint. :)
