I live around the Flint, Mi. area where the HD pickup is built, Gm still has several lots full around town full of trucks waiting for microchips and other parts. I don't see the numbers on these lots getting any smaller. Some of these trucks are the $70,000+ Denalis just sitting in fields
No matter what size, 20 or 22, I think some of the wheels available hurt the look of these vehicles. No, I'm not a fan of the roller skate look either.
My choice today if I was looking for a small car might be a Japanese car, they might not be the sharpest looking but they are built to last. The Japanese take pride in their quality and workmanship of their vehicles. It would be an easy choice over some of these electric cars on the road.
In my opinion, there are no nice looking 20' wheels for the Yukon, they look like something that would come on a silverado. GM needs to redesign their wheels to keep up with the good looks of their premium trucks and SUVs.
The Japanese SUVs, big and small, are no comparison to the American made models. The styling doesn't catch my eye at all, some models are just plain ugly.
Last summer I talked to a dealer about trading in a '19 Yukon XL to buy a '21 XL and after the salesman had a discussion with his manager they told me it would be hard to sell at current times, and I was offered $1000 more than what I owed. I sold it privately in 2 days to a dealer who came up...
Luckily I had 2 in-transit Yukons held at 2 different dealers and decided to pass on this dealers sale, the dealer I purchased from just took a credit card number for a hold, no credit check needed.
I've gotten my oil changes done by the dealer for a long time now with Dexos oil at 6000 miles, ever since being told by some rookie lube tech that transmission fluid swells as it breaks down. I trust the dealer will stand behind their work if problems arise. I have the oil changed in my...
I've been interested in the AT4 pick up and saw a nice one on the used side of the dealer lot, I could have gotten a new one for the price on the window. Looks like I'll wait a while.
I also asked the guy to try GM financial because they had some incentive at the time, not as good as now though. I had good rates with GMAC in the past.
Are you talking about the fixed running board? I have the fixed and I like them, they feel solid when you step on them. The bad thing is it seems like they are always dirty (the step surface I mean).
Don't be rushed by the sales/finance people when signing the paperwork. When buying my Yukon I told the finance guy that I had a credit union I wanted him to call, instead he tried to set me up with his bank at 4.8%. After a talk with the sales manager my credit union was called and I got a...
I saw a Grand Wagoneer on a lot for $111,000. For that money I'd rather have an Escalade with the diesel, the 6.4L in the Jeep gets terrible gas mileage.
One of the local dealers had a separate oil change facility just next to their service dept. The service there was terrible, long waits, oily hand prints all over the paint, not doing a complete job. Finally the dealer closed it down and moved everything to the service dept. and now the work...
I've had a Husky liner in a '19 XL and I currently have a Weathertech in a '21 XL, I liked the Husky because it was more rubbery but it was smooth on the bottom and would slide back and the liftgate wouldn't close. The Weathertech is a little more stiffer plastic and only moves a little bit. I...
A friend of mine once had a Sport Fury convertible, don't remember what year though. He also had a '70 Road Runner with a air grabber hood, those were the good ole days.
