    AWD feels loud

I only hear a slight difference, and only under hard acceleration. Same on my 2015. Auto(AWD)/4Hi/4Lo/N are options on the 2 speed transfer case for 2015-1018. I rode in an Uber Black 2015 Suburban with 182,000 miles, no different.

    Any non-buffeting Tahoes out there?

Yes, I’ve seen these threads dominate the forums since 2015. I guess I got lucky on my 2015. I certainly would have made them fix it or buy it back if mine had that issue!

    6.2 for Chevy

2,500 miles and loving it! I traded in my 2015 Tahoe on this one. I loved it too, but the RST ride better, and the Engine Trans package is amazing. Better MPG than the 5.3 too.

    87 octane vs 91 octane

I thought the LTI was TPI, the 2015+ 6.2L and 5.3L are direct injected, quite a bit of difference. As you know, pre-detonation is more controllable. The 5.3l recommended fuel is 87 octane and that motor is running 11:1 compression. The 6.2l L86 has 11.5:1, likely why 91 recommended, 87 won’t...

    Any non-buffeting Tahoes out there?

I finally drove (rented) a 2016 Suburban that had what I'd call a buffeting noise. It was annoying. I found it to be caused by the engine lugging when the trans would go into 6th gear at around 40mph. The engine was only running at about 1,000-1,100 rpm. Similar to shifting a manual trans...

    2018 Yukon Oil Change Interval

I did the first at 1,500 miles. Dealer told me I was crazy, should wait. The two free oil changes can be done anytime you want, but you only get 2. I'll switch to Mobil 1 Synthetic 0w-20 when I start doing them myself. I did the same on my 2015 Tahoe.

    2speed transfer case

That's correct for 2015+ 5.3L Tahoes. The max trailering in the 5.3L also includes the 3.42 gears. All the 6.2L RST Tahoes with 4x4 have the 2 speed transfer case.

    Civilianizing the '15 Tahoe PPV

Looks like a lot of work, what did you spend in total on this project? Was this a used or new PPV vehicle? I am intrigued.

Does anyone here have tow hooks with the front parking sensors? Any issues?

    Towing with a 2018 Denali 10 Speed?

Plans change. I had a warranty service planned in Lake Havasu for the boat, that didn't happen. I did however end up towing an empty 24ft flatbed car hauler (2,200 lbs) from Needles to Ontario. Not enough weight to notice a loss in acceleration, although I had the trans in tow/haul mode...

    2015 Denali-6.2L Broken valve spring

They can do a compression test to make sure the valve isn't damaged, you can have them use an optical scope through where the spark plug goes to view the piston and cylinder wall. As someone else said, you can pressurize the cylinder with air to hold the valve in place when they install the new...

    TRANSMISSION FLUID TEMPERATURE

My 2015 Tahoe's trans temp ran 190-200 deg in cool weather and in the hottest California and Arizona desert's 110-120 deg summer days. Towing, the highest I saw the trans get was 206 deg f. I had the max tow package on that Tahoe. I notice my RST's trans runs quite a bit cooler. In 85 deg...

    Harsh ride

I can't speak for the standard '15-18 suspension. I did have a 2015 Tahoe LT with the tow package, auto leveling comfort ride option and it road like a coupe de ville, without any wind or outside noise. I put 45,000 miles on it in less than 3 years. A little too soft for my liking. My 2018...

Just picked up a new 2018 Tahoe RST

Yes, the shifts are smooth and instantaneous. Feels like a dual clutch trans like in my BMW M6 GC. I had bought a Hypertech tuner for my 2015, it took the lag out of the throttle mapping and improved the shifts of the 6spd. It had the 3.42 gears, which is a noticeable difference from the...

I did the license plate leds, what bulbs did you use for the fog lights and reverse lights? I couldn't find anything for the brake/rear turn signals either.

Just picked up a new 2018 Tahoe RST

I got mine on 1/31. Same options. Love it. The 6.2L with the 10spd 4x4 is awesome. I too had a 2015 LT max tow 4x4. I loved it, but this is like a different truck. I'm looking forward to see how she tows.

Lowering a 2018 Premier RST 4x4 Best Options?

What options, if any do I have for lowing my 2018 RST 6.2L 4x4 Tahoe? It has Magnetic Ride Control.

Magnetic Ride Control and Automatic Level Control (ALC)

The Canadian vehicles can't disable the Daytime Running Lights, that we can in the US.
