Need help lifting my 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe

I've toyed with the idea of getting a body lift, but I hear that you need to get brackets to relocate your bumpers so that they line up right. This makes them unable to be used for towing, recovery points, etc.. Which is not an option for me.

    Question about lift and tires.

Chances are this should work just fine. The only thing is, if you already have the z71 package, you don't need to buy the coil springs, unless you wanted to replace them. With 215k, you might as well spend the extra $60 bucks for the coils. Mine had the autoride (automatic air leveling by...

Need help lifting my 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe

Everyone around here myself included are Bilstein fans. When I went down to the shop, the dudes workin on my Hoe said they were glad I got the Bilsteins cause their the best you can buy. They said the only others they would recommend were KYB, but they said that all in all, Bilsteins have...

The deed is done. Took out autoride, 2" lift, Bilstein 5100's and z71 coils

I used Bilsteins for compensating for the lift as well as Z71 coils like you guessed. I still have the "service ride control" message in the message center but I don't really care. I'll find a way to get rid of it when I have some spare time. I'll post links to the Bilsteins parts if you want...

LED light bar in the front valence?

Its pretty wicked. Combined with the 30" flood on the bumper, its like daylight everywhere. I'll post some comparison pics Plain old heads and fogs: 52" Osram 8° Spot: Spot + 30" Cree Curved: The lenses on the osram plexiglass really make a difference with the throw and narrowness of the...

Also they have cubes but I think those are cree. very good price,it is chinese, but Its far better than the US Leds i bought. I would love to take the bar behind my grill and put on the rear and make my...

    Question about lift and tires.

Your link seems to be broken. But in the URL i saw something mentioning Bilsteins and a Level kit. If you level with keys and spacers and z71 coil springs and bilsteins, you can fit 285/70's. You will need to bring the front up 2.5" or so and add 1-2" spacers with the new springs your should be...

    Tow Mirrors?

I'm looking to get some tow mirrors for my Tahoe. Has anyone swapped out the original mirrors? If so, please post your source for the mirrors. Also, the ones I've seen online have the turn signal LEDs, but my factory mirrors are only heated and powered. Is there a easy way to wire this up by...

    key and spacer options

Not sure about spindles, but I did Z71 coils, 1.5" spacers, 3" keys cranked to 2.5", and Bilsteins all the way around. Nice and level, and fits 33s. I can link to parts if your interested.

Need help lifting my 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe

Go with new coils, spacers, shocks, and keys. My 33" MTs clear with no rubbing other than if I have the wheels turned all the way and I'm backing up.

The deed is done. Took out autoride, 2" lift, Bilstein 5100's and z71 coils

Both are custom made. I went to a junkyard and found a nice thick piece of aluminum plate with diamond texture and paid by the pound for it. Had a shop cut it out for me since I didn't have the tools at the time. Sketched up a design after taking some measurements. It attaches where the original...

    LED Lighting and Stereo interference

I've grounded one bar directly on the battery itself, the rears on the same ground that my sub amp is on (cause its near the rear of the car and I only had so much length on the harness) and two bars on a bolt that some factory stuff is grounded on (on a bolt under the hood on the windshield...

Damn good looking denali. I'm somewhat of a noobie around here but I've learned a ton. After joining in December, I've already gotten enough info here to re-do my suspension. Incredibly helpful community. I just had work done with parts recommended from the forum members and I couldn't be...

LED light bar in the front valence?

Nice. That's a clever way to wire everything up. I've been thinking about 7" rounded LED pods to replace the stock fogs that would hug the underside of the bumper and the curve. I have my front valence removed to fit my tow hooks so my fogs hang down slightly awkwardly. I would like to do the...

    Colorshift Halos - Installed

Looks good. I would like to do projector headlights with probably 1 light blue halo, but I'm not sure what headlights to get. Are your lights projectors? They don't appear to be in the photos but its hard to tell. Also, What do they look like with the beams on?
