Recommended Deep Cycle Battery - Optima OR

I know the Optima's are most popular but I went with a Sears one which did me well for 4.5 years of heavy usage. Sears not around like that anymore. Anything out there to handle abuse from car audio? I dont sit in car listening while its off but want to keep that option open, thus why i am...

    Drivers side motor mount replacement.

There are multiple videos that help. I replaced mine twice without removing axle nor the steering column. You take them out through driver wheel well. It is extremely tight and frustrating but doable without removing anything other than the wheel well cover. Make sure you get H3 Hummer...

New pads and rotors, rear brakes grinding now

wouldnt any type of rubbing or grinding be related to bolts being too loose causing vibration or the calipers sticking? I would first try to find which wheel is rubbing (maybe both). You can tell through how much heat is felt in the brake area. Compare to other wheels after a descent amount...

New pads and rotors, rear brakes grinding now

I replaced my rear rotors/pads before and didnt have to do anything with the parking brake that I recall. Parking brake and pads work fine over 20k miles later.

I almost bought a set. Great looking mounts and great company with amazing customer service. My H3 Hummer mounts didnt fail yet but if they do, this is definitely the way I'm going!

Thanks for direction. I found video below does a great job explaining at the 4 minute mark.

A/C Fan On/Off & Cold in the Front, Hot in the Back

I got my new blower motor actuator but issue remains. The new one made by Dorman works. It has way more metal rods but they are thinner than the OEM Bosch one. The problem seems to be in the wiring, specifically the purple wire going to the motor. When I play with it, the motor turns on and...

A/C Fan On/Off & Cold in the Front, Hot in the Back

Thanks! I saw a video showing one of the actuators near blower and closer to center console but not sure if we talking about same one. Are they all located near the blower under front passenger feet?

A/C Fan On/Off & Cold in the Front, Hot in the Back

I found the model for the resistor (Dorman 973-401) Which one is for the air blend door actuator? I found 3 versions of Dorman. 604-106 HVAC Air Door Actuator Application Summary: General Motors 2014-94 Application Notes: Lower Main; Temperature Main; Air Inlet Upper Main; Temperature...

Found this on Amazon. Easy enough to replace if it goes bad. Where would you guys get these parts? HOpefully no issues with amazon? https://www.amazon.com/YCT-Resistor-15-81638-15141283-Chevrolet/dp/B07MC4RQZH/ref=psdc_15723831_t2_B07H34NHBH

A/C Fan On/Off & Cold in the Front, Hot in the Back

I'm dealing with 2 issues. The front motor/fans turn on and off. I know its related to the blower or actuator under passenger seat. When I play with the wires, it goes on and off. It seems to matter most on the side of the blower more than the actuator. Also seems to get really hot when A/C...

    Covid Cleaning Interior

Uber/Lyft. I was able to mix dish soap, bleach, hydrogen peroxide and water. Did not stain surprisingly and I drove without A/C on, windows down to minimize exposure. Thanks for the feedback.

    Covid Cleaning Interior

As alcohol becomes more extinct locally, i'm wondering what can be used to clean the leather interior without discoloring or damaging. I have some rips so I'm not too sensitive anymore but i'm sure a white spot will stand out in black. I have the following but not sure what works in a spray...

    Broken Motor Mounts

Just an update. Mounts can make a big difference in truck performance. Low end feels so much faster. I'm in love with the truck all over again at 208k miles.

    2008 GMC Yukon Denili

The best thing we can do is get a truck that takes regular if you worried about gas mileage. My 5.3L gets 14.2 average gas mileage in the south with not much stop and go traffic. Thats not much better than your 6.2L. The pump is only place we can save. Once again, I feel bad for the 6.2...

    2008 GMC Yukon Denili

You have the worst of both worlds. Denalie 6.2 is supposed to take Premium gas and has the worst gas mileage. To save a little, people grab the 5.3 liter. A little better on gas and can take regular with confidence.

    Thoughts on changing transmission fluid

Going both routes, the cooler line process takes less than 30 seconds I believe. Its super quick! The Harbour freight pump takes a good 5-10 minutes which feels like an eternity and you are pumping the whole time nice and slow. So you working and waiting what feels like way longer. The Mytec...

    Thoughts on changing transmission fluid

The only reason I dont like this method is: 1) It requires 2 people 2) There is a danger zone where the fluid is almost out and you can over suck the fluid causing possible problems with tranny. People say to stop when you see the bubbles but what if someone goes too far? 3) the clip that holds...

    Thoughts on changing transmission fluid

https://www.harborfreight.com/multi-use-transfer-pump-63144.html Super cheap. There are youtube videos showing how to set it up to pump with the smaller hose setup. I have to say again that the pump process is super slow and a little clumsy compared to the more expensive pumps but you cant...

    Thoughts on changing transmission fluid

I successfully used the orange popular harbor freight pump. It comes with a slim line connector which I connected to a clear tube. I will reiterate that the pump process is SLOW and a bit clumsy. The fluid kind of goes on its own when you get the pump going but super slow. When I pump too...

    Broken Motor Mounts

I have a before and after video of the truck showing vibration before the H3 was properly installed and after. I was going to compare with the solid mount but did not have to install. H3 highly recommended
