You can definitely do it. Depending on the build of your house you might be able to completely remove the attics floor beams and go with a cathedral ceiling right up to the roof. Best bet to be 100% sure would be to hire an architect to check it out.

Ok. Thanks. I wasn't sure so figured I'd ask. I might need to reuse him when I start digging into my Yukon's misfire.

I just picked my heads up from the machine shop today. I think I might have gotten ripped off. He disassembled both heads, replaced valve seals, cleaned up the valves and re installed the stock springs. He also resurfaced the bottoms and cleaned them all up. And he also removed two broken...

I dont mind some power loss if it's going to run well. I rarely tow with it and definitely don't race with it. I usually drive like an 80 yr old

I'm cool with the HP loss. I just want it to run well.

I'm going with the 12689035 OEM GM cam which I believe is the stock non AFM cam so I should be good as far as tuning. Just need to verify push rods are the same.

So the question now is do I put it in or keep my 170,000 mile original one which has never given me a problem whatsoever. I've been messing with both my trucks so much lately I honestly feel I could pull the intake in like 20 minutes so if it does go bad it's not the end of the world.

Thanks man. Just ordered them off Amazon and they claim they will be delivered overnight by 8am tomorrow which is crazy. I verified they are GM genuine. I'm gonna keep the AFM trays I ordered since I suspect I might need them when I start dealing with my 08 Yukons misfire. Just an FYI the Amazon...

Ok. I went with the Summit lifters and I think I finally have everything I need ordered. I'm gonna spend the weekend getting the front cover off, getting the oil pan ready to come off and do some more cleaning on the block. Last thing I need to do is send the computer out for a re flash. Can...

    P0300 misfire

Your definitely going to need access to a good scanner that can view live data to see what's going on with the engine while it's running. Things like which cylinder or cylinders are misfiring, fuel trims and O2 info will help with the diagnosis. A quality scanner can pay for itself pretty...

So we trust the Summit lifters? I was going to stick to GM but they are expensive AF. Right now I plan on using the 12689035 GM cam. If the concensus is Summit is quality I could use the saved money. The P/S pump on my Yukon sprung a leak today!

Fa DAMM IT!! I ordered the trays before I decided to do the delete! Do you know if the trays are the same for the stock non AFM lifters and the GM performance lifters? I'm still debating if I should get 8 stock non AFM lifters and keep my original ones or go for the 16 pack of performance...

Quick update. My timing cover is leaking pretty bad so I'm going to change the gasket and seal on that and while it's off I'm going to replace the oil pump with a GM oem replacement. I believe the oil pan needs to be dropped to do the pump and I replaced the gasket and o-ring 2 months ago so I...

    Used prices

I have been shopping for an 07-14 Yukon/Tahoe in the N.J. area for the past 6 months and the prices are ridiculous. Anything under 200,000 miles that's kind of clean and runs decent sits around the 15 thousand dollar range. Anything that's real clean around 100,000 miles is closer to 20...

Thanks for the info. It really doesn't make sense that they can sell the same senor for $17 vs $50. I'm going to look real close at it when it shows up. AC Delco is supposed to be AC Delco though right? Could they possibly put inferior products in the box? And it's coming from the AC Delco...

Actually since I've been doing a lot of research about all the parts I need I'm getting very suspicious. Look at this lifter kit that someone is trying real hard to look like genuine GM performance lifters. Same part# and everything.

Just a heads up. The oil pressure sensor for our trucks is on sale on Amazon. All GM websites I checked wanted at least $50

Even before the misfire sitting at a stoplight it always had a little bit of a stumble that bothered me. I was told it's just the way these trucks are.

That's a hell of a build bro...Pretty sweet! Looks like you replaced a lot of the wearable parts just so you know it's solid and never have to worry about it again. I usually share the same attitude with everything I do but right now just trying to get my daily driver back on the road. I don't...

Yeah. I saw a video from Scoggins talking about their delete kits. Depending on the cam you can reuse push rods.

I've never messed with a cam before. Is it as easy to swap out as this article makes it out to be? The rough idle is the single most hated thing I have about this truck. Do you think the stock GM non AFM cam will help that...
