    trailer connections messing with truck

There must be some wires crossed either in the trailer or the wiring harness at the rear of your truck. The cruise must be seeing +12 on the brake light line. It is designed to release when the brakes are on. In other words, the cruise will not work while the brakes are on…….. :)

    box sliding

Forgive me for bringing this up, but there are laws of physics that should not be ignored. Accidents happen and the last thing you need is to get whacked by a fifty pound box after the initial impact. You can neatly place some bolts through the floor using color matching nylon straps to...

    nitrus anyone?!

I had nitrous on top the Super Charger. It was great, but I use it mostly on the street. I found that most times when I wanted the nitrous, either the bottle was turned off, or empty. Imagine your sitting at a light and the guy next to you all of a sudden wants to play. You don't always...

    nitrus anyone?!

There is no question that nitrous is dangerous. I have tried it and don’t like it because of all the hassles of getting the tank filled and not knowing for sure what the level is all the time. Then there is always the perfect time you need it, but the bottle is not turned on. When you use...

    nitrus anyone?!

You can do a 100 shot without worries, but be sure to do a "wet" system that brings the gas in with the Nitrous. You can do some damage in a hurry if there is not enough gas to go with that burst of oxygen. :)

    Engine Bolt Size??!?

If it is the top of the dip stick tube, it should be a 1/4" 20 half inch long. They normally fasten to the side of the head, not the block. :)

    Twin Fuel Pumps?

I need to run two pumps in parallel from two separate feeds coming from the tank. The one fuel line is not enough to satisfy the demand at high rpm’s. :)

    Twin Fuel Pumps?

Thanks for the tip. There seem to be several guys over there with dual pumps. My 300 lph Bosch is not keeping up at high rpm’s. I need another pump before I turn the boost up. Not sure if they have to be matched pumps or not. My plan is to turn on the second pump, starting at 8 lbs of...

    Twin Fuel Pumps?

Anyone here using multiple fuel pumps. If so, what brand and model fuel pumps and what size lines are you using from the tank? Also curious about the brand and model of regulator and if the hook up is parallel or serial?

    Can anyone help?

I would check out the alternator thoroughly. Look for over voltage and also make sure there is no AC present.

    wideband and boost gauges?

It is true that the LC1 is part of the deal, but the gauge does have a ton of features in itself. like programming what color each LED will be around the dial. I also like having the actual number displayed all the time. It LC1 is the in line package that interprets the signal from the 02...

    wideband and boost gauges?

I have tried several different wide band's and settled on the Innovate XD16. When you start using forced induction, it is no time to cut corners on the AFR gauge. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/xd16.php Here is the link, check it out. The xd 16 has one great feature in...

black smoke and rubber line on trans

There is a breather hose that hangs down on the passenger side of the trans. It is hooked up near the top of the trans, about a ¼” in size.

    logically thinking

You guys need to remember that most of the stories of 4L60e tranny’s holding up to big power, come from Camaro’s or F-birds. The Tahoe’s are almost twice the weight. It is not just the amount of power going through the transmission, but how long it has to struggle with that power before the...

I'm watching the wide bands more than anything else. :)

I need another doohickey identified, if someone could help me out.

In all due respect……… Sway Bars can save your life. It’s true that most of the time, they are just hanging there doing nothing, but if you ever have to take a hard turn or swerve to avoid having an accident, it can be the difference between turning or rolling. :)

    The Decision is Made

The 400 is a great trans, if you don’t care about the overdrive. Mine’s a daily driver, so I need the OD with 4:56 gears. The transmission shop I deal with, keeps used 80’s on the shelf. I traded my 4L60e for one he had. I think all the special parts in the 60 made it worth while for...

I need another doohickey identified, if someone could help me out.

You should not need the bar itself. Just the bolt and the nylon fittings that were lost when it broke. Is the other side the same way? Call the parts store and tell them your sway bar bolts broke. See what they have in stock. A GM Dealer should have the parts on the shelf.....:)

    The Decision is Made

Don’t even bother with the 4L60e. This is the voice of experience. I have been there and done that. I started with a 6 lb boost supercharger on the tahoe on the first round. Blew the trans and built it up to take the extra power. That lasted for a while. Then I went to a 15 pound boost...

    I'm torn fellas...

I would leave the Yukon, bone stock and do a drag truck with the 95. I have a similar situation. I have a bone stock 01 Tahoe, with 29,000 miles on it. I use that for traveling when I want to be able to hear the radio and have a smooth ride. I use my 95 for those all the other days when...

    Serpentine Belt Problem. Please Help.

The pulsing control solenoids for the wastegates got put on hold to make way for other projects. Last summer was consumed with building the new garage to accommodate the hoist, plus adding heat and air conditioning. Over the winter, I spent free time, working on more mods for the Camaro. I...
