Those are some LED flashers they have 3 different flash settings I've used them a couple times in the bad weather we've had here. I got them off ebay for 20 bucks I think there pretty bright for what they are. Idk if i'll keep them in it or not.
My Tahoe has not started peeling but my 03 Duramax has. It looks bad especially because it has the tan interior not sure what to use to fix it. Where can I get the SEM? And does anyone have a color code for the 03 tan?
Mine fits good in my garage I usually only have it in there for maintenance or detailing. My Duramax or Typhoon usually stays in there and the Tahoe an my Mitsu are pretty much always under the metal carports.
Replaced the two cabin air filters. Those were some nasty filters I think they were the originals a bunch of leaves, dust and dirt in there. Also changed the oil.
Mine was at 292000 when it started knocking. Replaced engine at 294500 with a 54000 mile engine. Now has almost 298000. I think the dealer I got it from ran 50 weight oil in it to keep it quiet and I don't think it was kept up on its service before either.
I like both of them they look great in person. I agree the back end is pretty square it reminds me of my old K5 Blazer except the top had more curvature than the new Tahoe's but despite that there pretty nice I'd love to go take one for a test drive so may go see about doing that.
They've arrived in High Point. 2 Tahoe's and a Yukon. They look great in person compared to the first pics I saw. The white one arrived today I saw it on the truck this morning heading to the dealer for unloading.
My Tahoe had 293000 when the motor started making noises but I think it was someone's company car beater before I got it that wasn't kept up on maintenance and the dealer just put heavy weight oil in it to keep it quiet. The interior was pretty clean other than the carpet, paint is pretty good...
It's for sure rod knock at first I thought it was piston slap but it's gotten alot worse and the engine sounds horrible. It has 294000 miles on it so I guess that engine had a good run
Alright ill pick one up I figured these engines were pretty simple to do if you were to do it yourself. Just looking to see if anyone had any tips though. The bell housing bolts kind of look like a pain to get too. I've took the hood off of it today and started looking around at what all is...
Looking for any tips on removing the 5.3 from my 2000 Tahoe it has a rod knock and I'm still not sure if I'm going to rebuild it or get one that's already built. However before doing either I need to get this engine out so does anyone have any tips? I've owned my fair share of Chevy/GMC trucks...
Thanks for the welcome guys as for the 6.0 swap I've thought about it. Are there any good build threads for that swap? I'm planning on starting the teardown of the Tahoe next week because I'd like to have it back on the road very soon.
Hey guys
I'm new from NC but I've had my Tahoe for about 2 months bought it from a used dealer and put bout 2000 miles on and changed the oil and it started making a knocking noise thought it was piston slap turns out to be a rod knock so guess I'm gonna be pulling a motor soon and rebuilding...
