    1999 Tahoe, soft brake pedal

Just curious - are you just swapping the module (black part with Kelsey Hayes on it) or the whole thing with the valve assembly and combination valve that the lines go into? Since it is improved with the module unplugged, do you think the issue is with the controls rather than something...

    2dr vs 4dr cargo area

That’s the same one that I have in mine. The tire has to come out if you want to remove the liner.

    Restoration stickers....

On my 98, the top one is a tire sticker and the lower one the VIN sticker. I didn’t know mine was made in Mexico until just now, lol. On my truck, also a 98, it was a state outline (maybe Michigan) with a UAW logo but it fell off a while ago.

    Ready status for catalysts monitoring

Here’s the information from the manual for a 98. It’s probably the same for a 1996. I hope it helps.

Good deal, glad you got it sorted out, thanks for updating.

    Code p03041 cam position sensor

Do you have any other codes? It looks like the P0341 is flagging an intermittent issue with cam sensor signal voltage. I’m not sure where you’d tap it, but if your scanner graphed the signal voltage it would probably show inconsistent oscillation. That could just be a poor connection or some...

    Code p03041 cam position sensor

Sorry, I had a senior moment and misread your post there. The spark advance wouldn’t be what you’re looking for - it would be labeled CMP Retard or maybe CMP/CKP Correlation. I haven’t had the issue myself, but others have seen that code pop with a worn distributor gear. Do you have oil...

    Code p03041 cam position sensor

The GM manual (1998 shown) implies that a wiring defect or being too close to electrical interference such as spark plug wires could be a cause. Getting the CMP offset set with a scanner would be required since you pulled the distributor.

99 tahoe to 2015 frame and drive train swap

Yeah, maybe some clarification would help. If you’re wanting to (basically) replace a (rusty?) 1999 frame with a 2015 frame while keeping the 1999’s 350, transmission, body, etc. then it’s surely easier to find a donor GMT400 frame somewhere. But, hey, I’m sure someone’s done it by now. Or...

    1999 Tahoe LT mirrors

Looking at Dorman’s listing on Rockauto, it looks like they just delete the two pins for the auto-dimming function. Those are B and G in the connector view below for a 99 model. So, yes, it looks like they would connect. I see that Rockauto has another listing for a mirror with the heat and...

    Interior gray vinyl paint/dye

This guy used an SEM brand paint on a dash cover and looks to have gotten a decently close match with the gray. The paint code (#15813) is in the video. You may be able to take a dash part to a paint shop and see if they can match it.

    AC compressor

I have zero experience with it, but the alternative to the stock compressor is a Sanden style that, I believe, is a bolt-on replacement. The GM OEM part (that you would get from a dealer) would be Delco and is typically the better choice for nearly all parts - particularly electronics. GM...

SOLVED!!! '96 Yukon Cylinder 5 Misfire

You could swap the plug/wire from #5 to one that isn’t misfiring, see if the misfire follows. A spark tester would let you compare the actual spark - could just be a bad cap.

Dorman 4 wheel drive harness 600-600 question

Here’s the original GM bulletin with the instructions and part numbers for the varied years. Maybe it will help sourcing parts if the dorman product isn’t turn-key. Mine are both 98s, so I’ve no experience with the conversion...

    LSeat.com Reviews

It’d probably be worth checking with them to see if they actually have a two door rear seat cover. They advertise it for a 1995-99 “Yukon XL” which is kind of sloppy so I’d keep my expectations low. The price point implies full vinyl or bonded leather with lower-end construction regardless...

    1995 Yukon rear emblems

The GM part numbers were 15675400 (GMC Truck) and 15974642 (Yukon). Both discontinued, but most dealers will do a nationwide search for you. Perhaps someone still has one on a shelf somewhere. LMCTruck sells the GMC emblem (less the Truck part) which I think was for 98-ish and newer. I’ve...

    97 Yukon GT Carpet Kit.

Stockinteriors.com will send free sample swatches if you want to compare different shades. I’d bet that they and LMC use the same supplier - perhaps Acme as the LMC sunvisors are Acme brand.

    1999 tahoe brake issue

There is an automated ABS bleed procedure that requires a scanner to activate. A GM Tech2 will do it and probably some Snap-on scanners. Here’s a thread with confirmed scanner models: https://www.gmt400.com/threads/confirmed-brake-bleeding-scan-tools.67047/page-13

power to heater hotwater vacum control valve

Here’s the diagram. It should be battery voltage to the solenoid. Is that 5V measured using the connector’s ground or the chassis? Ground G105 is at the harmonic balancer.

    Blend doors

There are three dampers in the main box, one at the heater core and one at the blower for recirculation. RockAuto sells the GM ones. The heater and recirc actuators would be worth taking a look at as replacement is really tedious with the dash in. You can quickly snowball into an evaporator...

    This is Odd - P1406

For 96 and 97, that rubber line is just a vent and good as-is. For 98, they changed the Evap components to what bsamole shows in his pictures. Here is the P1406 diagnostic from the 1996 manual, maybe it will help.
