    Try cleaning the throttle body first, a dirty throttle body on our truck will do pretty much what you are having a problem with and it's a cheap attempt at a fix even if it doesn't solve your problem!

    You really just don't want to have your motor do a bunch of lugging around and/or having your trans do a bunch of hunting for gears by excessive upshifting/downshifting to maintain a speed! When those conditions are happening, either slow a bit down or downshift a gear to keep the RPM's up!

    If they both went off at the same time then I agree with you that it's not bad heating elements! More than likely you have a chaffed wire causing a short, but where that's a good question!

    I would clean the throttle body for sure, usually what my truck needs when the idle get rough. Crazy how dirty those get! Also, do you have the DIC (Driver Information Center) control in the center console below the radio? Might have a sticky button on it causing to cycle through the languages!

    Ouch, that sucks! Was hoping you were talking about the tabs on the switch itself and not the armrest but I figured it was something different than I was reading! If it's hard plastic, epoxy might be your best bet, super glue won't be strong enough!

    Like mentioned, no engine drag from turning the fan, cools down the truck faster, ice cold A/C ALL the time, opens up some engine compartment space due to the electric fan setup being thinner and less bulky! Will draw more voltage when running and can be louder at times than the belt driven fan...

    Desperate Idle Problem

    Why not put your old wires back on and see if the problem goes away since the problem happened after you changed wires? Could have gotten a few bad ones and it's only throwing the one code!
