Yeah I ran some long screws into the Styrofoam. It felt pretty steady, and I figured the grill should protect it from impact that would knock it loose.

As others have mentioned, it's not difficult to do, but it is difficult to do perfectly. I've done several of my own and the pre-cut tint does make it easier, but it still doesn't end up perfect. If you are a perfectionist, take it in to a reputable shop.
Agreed, I bought mine at 98k and did all these things except shock/struts. I'm at 110k and about to do them. They are all fairly simple to do yourself to save a few hundred bucks.
