Thanks man. It's my first bike thats not a sport bike since my wife will NOT ride on the back of a rocket. Its a 97 Honda Shadow 1100. I bought it wrecked 4 years ago and did quite a bit of work to make it my own
I love them. I mostly listen to hard rock so I was mainly going for a loud tight punchy bass rather than long bass tones (but those sounds awesome too)

I luckily found a 3M vinyl that almost matches my paint perfectly and covered mine
It's made by JL Audio, called a Stealthbox. JL designs them specifically for certain cars and are either hidden in a compartment or has a factory look. I have the one in the rear side window and another underneath the center console between the front seats. Here's a link...
The situation you're having does happen to me once in a while and not sure why. Sometimes I feel like the remote start will only work if you use it after you shut it off and lock it and it sits for a bit. Sometimes I feel like it cancels it out if after I park and lock it, then come back later...
Seriously, the roads are terrible and the constant construction doesn't help. I just take the risk and always make sure I have my AAA card just in case. Plus I have 26's and fitting a full size spare underneath is a little tricky. And I just don't like seeing the tire hanging underneath.
The TPMs don't have anything to do with it. If you go through the options on the dash with the truck on, you can turn on the remote start function if it's turned off. Some people turn it off if they're afraid to accidentally remote start the truck.
