What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I see you have a bit of ass end squat... that by design, or you just haven't raised the rear yet? Not a fan personally, but otherwise the truck looks great.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Just remember that putting the NNBS rear rotors, calipers and pads on your Yukon is actually going backwards. The NBS rotors are bigger than the NNBS.

My dream Tahoe/Yukon SUV? Should I ever win a 100 million bucks playing the lottery: - '06 Yukon XL Denali, fully loaded interior, w/ a 6-door conversion - Stretched 3" front row, 3" second row, 3" third row, 5' rear cargo/4th row - long enough to do a second rear quarter glass - sumbitch...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Interesting enclosure design, never seen one like that before. I'd assume you did it that way to protect the speakers from things rolling around in the back? What amp(s) are you pushing them with? What subs/ ohm load/ power are you pushing?

    2nd battery

Oh yeah, I forgot the alternator - 253 amp GM 3500 series HO option, $115 on E-bay. I won't ever be going (much) bigger, I haul tools and materials all the time (am a General Contractor, and install for Lowe's). I might upgrade my Powerbass 10's and my sub amp, but my enclosure is fabbed into...

    2nd battery

Doing the same for my XL once weather breaks, and I can work on it outside. I have (2) new 1000ca/850cca dual terminal group 34/78 batteries, with Orion terminals for each - (2) 1/0 connections, and (2) 4ga connections. With these, I'll be doing: (2) 1/0 positive runs from the alternator to...

    20 Inch Tire Recommendations

275/60/20's should fit with zero rub, I believe you have just enough extra room to clear them. Will be the same width, but about 1.1" taller overall. Cooper makes a couple options, haven't heard anyone say anything negative about them. I have 275/65/20 Falken Wildpeak AT's on my '06 Yukon XL...

    Best Cheap/Free Mods?

These are the 36 watt ones I've had for two years: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-Quad-Row-7Inch-480W-Led-Work-Light-Bar-SPOT-Offroad-Driving-4WD-Truck-ATV-6/262956764592?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 I ordered some 480 watt lights to replace the 36 watt ones, the 36...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Not me. I had an '84 and an '88 2 door S10 Blazer, loved them, didn't think I'd ever need more room than that. I bought a '94 4-door for my wife, as she had to carry the kids everywhere. When my '88 shit the bed after 5 years, I wanted to go full size, strictly because I started carrying tools...

Drivers side front wont lift enough with new keys!

And I've heard (on this forum, actually) that it can be done. Another option is to swap in 2500 series bars, they have the same hexagonal pattern on the ends, but are larger in diameter.

Drivers side front wont lift enough with new keys!

It is a possibility that the combined weight of having the gas tank on the driver's side as well as having the driver's weight on it could have contributed to the problem. But, it would take a constantly full gas tank and a "hefty" driver to make that much of a difference. For whatever reason...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I swapped in Z71 springs and 2" spacers, kept the factory bar, and I don't think the driver's and passenger sides are different by even 1/4". Like you, I swapped out the sway bar links, I used ones for a 3" lifted Jeep Wrangler. Glad to see you zip-tied the E-brake cable, as opposed to letting...

    Rivet Style Fender Flares

I had some like that on my old '96 Tahoe. I mounted them over the doors, then slowly cut through them along the door line. Voila! the doors opened! I didn't worry about it, but if you have some black plastic, you could make filler pieces where you cut the flares, and hot glue them in place.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Dude, you have no idea what thoughts run through my head while I'm sleeping (or trying to!). I've been known to wake up (or at least 1/4 of the way) and start sketching out plans for a deck, or writing down ideas for a kitchen remodel. I'd say at least half the time, if I can't sleep, it's...

    Sub enclosure Idea!!

Ive got this posted in the General Forum, but I think it belongs here more: If you're into tunes (and who isn't??), I had an epiphany last night, woke up out of a sound sleep! Since your spare tire obviously doesn't fit under the truck any more (if you even have one), why not remove the...

    First Car Build (01 Tahoe)

Since you already have the 24's, you can keep them and put a lift on. But how 'bout some Nitto's to give it a little beef? https://www.4wheelparts.com/Tires/Nitto-285-40R24-Tire-Terra-Grappler-200-230.aspx?t_c=13&t_s=536&t_pt=101509&t_pn=NIT200-230...

    FYI - High Output Alternator

Update: the replacement HO alternator and new battery are working great. Can run my amp at full tilt, voltage barely dips at all, and when it does, I'm still over 14.0 volts (charging at 14.8-15.0 from idle to 2000rpm). Second battery will most likely be needed when I upgrade my amp, going from...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

First time in over a month I actually used my XL - had to transport some props I made for my daughter's dance studio, and it got dirty. Otherwise, what do you guys think about the Sierra wheels with the 275/65/20 (34.1" x 11") Falken Wildpeak AT 1's? To me, the 3" keys, Z71springs and spacers...

    Key Fobs

Ummm, Errrrrrr.... dumbass me just saw this as in the +'15 Forum... oh well. Bought these a couple weeks ago, shipped to my door in three days. Took all of two minutes to program both of them for my truck - simple as holding the lock button, cycling key from On to Off twice, releasing the lock...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

It is. I've been known to eat ten or eleven slices.... when a 16" large is cut into 8. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on which way you look at it), that won't ever happen again, as I had my gastric bypass surgery a month ago. Down to 291 lbs from my high of 337 before the surgery...
