I flushed my brake system at 45k (3 years) and it was pretty dark. Brake fluid gets nasty as it absorbs water and from a lot of heat. I posted a pic:

Trans fluid I had changed (dealer dropped...
I flushed system and used OEM rotors and Wagner Quietstop pads.
The orig pads were still fine for all but 1 of 4 pads, which was worn to nothing- must have been a sticking slide.
If that wasn’t there pads still had a ton of life left. This was at 60k
Nobody can confirm?
I did front rotors and pads today-ended up using 74 ft/lb for caliper pin bolts and ‘as hard as I can’ for the caliper bracket bolts. My torque wrench does not go up to 170, but they are on tight ....had 60k on them. One of the four front pads was worn to 1mm rest maybe 4mm.
Don’t overthink it and change it. Mobil1 is great. I used Amsoil. Here’s my results at 39k change. Clean fluid is better than old/ dirty fluid...

Just did my fronts today. Got OEM rotors and Wagner ThermoQuiet pads. They work fine.
Had truck in dealer for trans pan drop and filter change (60k on truck) and they said front pads had 1-2mm left.... must be dragging calipers cause only 1 of the four front pads was that low. Rest had a...
I had this on my 2015 Yukon Denali and they replaced my transmission . Early 8l90 units had some kind of clutch clearance issues. No longer does this for me. Changed trans at 15k miles.
With online searches I am seeing different torque setting numbers for caliper bracket, caliper guide pins etc to replace all 4 brakes.
Does anyone have 100% correct brake component torque specs for a 2015 model. Example below does not seem ‘for certain’...
I’ll Had it done today. Pan drop, clean pan/ magnet, filter and 7 qts fluid. They used Mobil1 LV HP. Tech gave me couple pics. He says the magnets look spot on from the other 8 speeds he’s serviced . Also said fluid was a little dark, so I think this was a good decision to have it done -...
I think the stock brakes are pretty great. You guys really think there will be that dramatic of brake feel increase? Is have a 2015 Denali - not sure if regular Yukon has lesser components.
Just seems like a lot of expense to change calipers and lines with a solid stock system. I don’t...
Update
Dealer called me after being contacted by GM. They will do pan drop, filter change and fill for about $370. Will take couple hours due to detailed procedure needed - fluid has to be in designated temp range. It’s about 7- 8qts replaced.
Guy from dealer says he’s personally a fan of...
I’m sure it’s safe, but dealer won’t do it. They will only do drain and fill . I don’t get how GM has a service schedule and then dealers won’t do it. I get the 8l90 is troubled...
I used online chat with GM to ask what do the GM factory techs say....
They said to do filter and fluid...
So get this- I’m taking my 2015 Yukon in for trans fluid exchange. It has the 8l90, so no pan drop. They won’t do full fluid exchange (dealer). Just a drain and fill.
I don’t think dealers want to touch these 8l90’s...though 45k is severe fluid interval, tech said dealer won’t do filter...
I did the job on my stomach/back without lifting truck. Yes you can remove cover without removing that crossmember. Used 75/90 Amsoil in both.

I’ve glued all appliqués back on with either gorilla glue or epoxy. Yes , it’s a joke they use shitty double sided tape.
My gps antenna failed as well. Replaced under warranty .
When I’m in Auto or 4WD there is a slight hum when I accelerate as well. I hear the transfer case working . I think this is normal.
If it’s loud or grinding, you have issues.

That sucks , sorry to hear they rounded off and were frozen. Next time spray some PB Blaster or other penetrant on them the week before you plan to do it and that will help dissolve any corrosion locking them up.
I noticed they were really tight - was first time they were cracked open. I...
.
Be careful with open end wrenches and bleeder valves. Can round them off easily.
I cracked it with the box end, put Mity Vac or tubing on bleeder, then open rest of way with open end . It’s easy to round bleeders, so I would recommend use/ start with box end.
There are tons of descriptions online. Basically suck old fluid out of reservoir.
Refill with new.
Bleed brakes starting with caliper farthest from reservoir- bleed until fluid runs clean.
Several ways to bleed - helper pumping pedal, vacuum bleeder, pressure bleeder.
Search - how to flush...
