Okay anyone with any info to help out on this

My guess is someone was trying to trick the computer, probably because Bubba said it would make more power with a different temp reading.

12 Yukon 5.3 need more torque!!

You’re not going to make a significant increase in torque with intake or headers. Displacement is the answer, just like it was with a carbed engine.

07 Yukon Denali, loss of functions

Why did you change the fuse box? I’d start with the Big 3 ground upgrades and see if that helps—it certainly won’t hurt and you’ll know you don’t have a major grounding problem.

    2007 Yukon Denali...no compression cyl #8

Stabilitrac and traction control lights are a symptom of another problem—maybe related to your engine problem. Did they say what they thought the problem was causing no compression on #8? If you’re moderately handy and it’s valves or lifters, you can change that and send it down the road or...

    Overheating

My bet is on fans—at highway speed you generate the airflow to remove heat from the radiator and in town you don’t.

08 tahoe with 102 k miles and Afm

AFM lifters can collapse, stick in the extended position, and it’s possible (it happened on mine) the lifter bucket allows the lifter to rotate, stick in The up position, which then allows the cam to smack the lifter love when it rotates, damaging the lifter roller and perhaps the cam. There’s...

Bench testing EVAP vent solenoid for leak P0442

It probably only requires 5 volts. Is it AC Delco or some parts store brand?

Knew my engine was not going to last long

Are we sure your truck has AFM? If so, Texas Speed has some nice kits with options. After the swap, you’ll want a good tune to optimize the combo.

    Battery negative cable box

It’s for the Regulated Voltage Control System—limits charging under certain conditions. If you see your voltmeter sometimes higher, sometimes lower, that’s it in operation.

Knew my engine was not going to last long

Money-wise, lifters are around $70 each at your local Chevy dealer. Lifter buckets are $20-ish each Head gaskets, head bolts, intake manifold gasket. Or as swathdiver suggested, you can get the AFM delete kit with new cam, non-AFM lifters, lifter buckets, etc

Knew my engine was not going to last long

Random cylinder misfire could be lots of things, to include AFM lifters, but usually they don’t go all at once and you’ll have a very clear and definite miss in the affected cylinder. Time for some troubleshooting!

2003 Tahoe 5.3 - Random Multiple Cylinder Misfire

A cracked, leaking gasket would cause it to run lean when cold and may seal up as things get warm. I’m curious if it would clear up if you didn’t turn it off and turn it back on.

Replacing Serpentine belt on a 2014 Chevy Tahoe

Save yourself some trouble later while you’re at it and pull the tensioner and idler pulleys, pop off the seal with a pick or sharp point of a razor blade, dab some grease in there, and snap the seals back on.
