I had an 87 suburban that i restored and loved it but we bought a bunch of property and a small house 150 miles away and i have three large dogs that have to go with us so i bought my yukon for more power, Better MPG, Much better A/C and above all reliability.
I hope you got money from the road crew that was responsible.
I parked my old pickup on 35`s in the mud one night when the temps froze up overnight and i had pounds of mud frozen on each tire. It felt like the truck was going to fall apart for the first quarter mile until the mud fell off.
I get that all the time especially in the summer. When the road crews fill cracks with liquid tar and have you running over it two minutes after they put it down it always gets on your vehicle. It drives me crazy.
I went with a dual side outlet setup. I have a 3 inch pipe from the cat to the muffler and 2-1/2 inch tails into 3-1/2 x 18 tips. I was looking for a flowmaster 50 series suv muffler like what came in their catback but couldn`t find one in stainless so i got one that was the same dimensions...
I can`t speak about corsa or magnaflow catbacks but i had a flowmaster catback in regular steel and it rusted away in about 2-2-1/2 years and the fit wasn`t great. No matter what i did i could never get the tailpipes to line up evenly and the hangers and clamps in the kit were junk.
I decided...
I`m not saying it`s impossible to happen but every time i have worked on an engine with a blown head gasket where antifreeze leaked into the engine and we drained the pan what came out was always a very thin light colored chocolate milkshake looking mess. I have no clue if it can gel up like...
I haven`t used my torque app in a while but if i remember correctly my best time in the 1/8 mile was a blistering 12 seconds. I`ll have to check it again next time i`m on the road and post the results.
Yes it is that simple but some people say that pulling that fuse does something to steering, I forget what it is exactly but some say it did nothing and some say if affected the steering.
When i switched over to regular shocks i just bolted them in and bought resistors that you can put on the...
It is normal and also very bad to use 4x4 on dry pavement. When you do it you`re going to break your truck. The stuttering you feel is the driveline binding up. 4x4 should only be used on dirt mud or snow where the front tires can slip.

Normally i would stay as far away as possible from parts that don`t list the manufacturer but i searched the part number for the ball joint and it shows up as a moog part. I don`t know how they can charge so little for all those parts but it may be worth a shot if they`re all moog.
I have an 05 but still have the stock exhaust in the barn. The muffler body is 24 inches and the pipes actually go into the muffler and are welded on, The opposite of most mufflers.
Sounds like the starter is dying. If you can get under the truck and tap the starter with a hammer while someone else turns the key to the run position and holds it there while you tap it.
It doesn`t always work but i`ve done it on a bunch of different makes and models of cars/trucks and it...
It`s pretty well known around here that shorty headers don`t really give a significant increase in horsepower and torque. They`re great only in the fact that they will bolt up to the stock Y pipe.
Long tube headers are the way to go.
And if you`re thinking about buying a catback kit and...
When i upgraded i went with R-1 E-line slotted and drilled rotors and SS lines too and i think it made a big difference. I never really had a reason to slam on the brakes with them installed until a few months ago when i was towing my 6x12 trailer with my yamaha rhino on it going about 75 when...
I know a bunch of guys that reused the factory rubber gasket without a problem so i did the same and three years later no leaks. It`s much easier than unfolding a new gasket and trying to keep it in place while putting the pan back on.
I have always used gates belts and hoses. When at all possible i try to take the old belt to compare to what they say should fit especially if it`s at an auto zone or advance auto. That way you wont be making a second trip to the store.
They bolted on with no problems, Now i just have to wait to see if they last any longer but i`m sure they will. Just be be safe i put a lot of red locktite on the stud because there`s no cotter pin hole.
The guy that did the alignment was shocked by how big they were and asked where i got...
I have moog on mine right now and they`re the same size as OE. I only have 20 inch wheels on my yukon and they`re shot in about three years and around 18 to 20k miles.
