Love the painted Denali grills! Any more pics of the white truck up close? And is that grill actually painted, or dipped like you said the wheels are? Looks incredible.
Sweet truck AngelXL! Thanks for sharing your link and all the info. I'm heading in the direction you've already gone with your monochromatic Yukon XL. Is yours Summit White too? Personally I love that vs. the tri-coat. Had to look for a couple of months to find a summit white Denali XL.
Thanks guys, I'm working towards a black & white theme.
But yea - you can buy the black GMC replacement badges on amazon and other places, but they're $150+.
I'm into this small mod for $4 in spray paint + $6 for tape and about an hour of tinkering around.
Step one, have a red factory logo:
Step 2, mask it off using green frog tape and cover everything as well as possible. Spend extra time here...the end result is only as good as your prep...
Step 3, apply three or four light coats of gloss black painter/primer spray paint carefully. Leave...
Tony, I used your kit for a 2" rear-only drop on my 2016 Tahoe LT (non auto ride). Loved the results but I sold that truck and own a 2015 Yukon Denali XL now.
Which kit do I need to get that rear down 2" like I accomplished with the Tahoe? Dumb question: all Denali's have Auto-ride, right? I...
If you're on the fence then you already know your eye prefers the 22" wheels. Throw on the 22's and keep the air pressure around 35psi. The ride isnt gonna be much different but the look is gonna improve immensely. These truck bodies are screaming for 22-24" rims.
I may be. They're in excellent shape. In fact, I'll tell ya this weekend. I'm gonna put the black ones on - if I love the look they'll stay on for good and the factory 22's you see on this thread will be sold.
Keep an eye on here because I'm truly 50/50 right now.
Funny to see the opinion - I'm keeping both sets so the factory 22"s will be spring/summer and the black rims w/ Aggressive Tires will be the Fall/Winter setup. I don't wanna pay to keep taking tires off rims, and I definitely need the better traction in Upstate, NY for the next 2-3 months...
Thanks for all the kind words guys! The tires on the black Tahoe are Terra Grappler G2's on 22" Black Rhino Peak Rotary wheels.
So, I turned the Tahoe in with the chrome factory wheels and KEPT the black ones you see above. And they're about to go on the Denali this Friday.
growing family = growing space needs...
Traded in the 16' Tahoe LT for a 15' Yukon Denali XL last night. Truly impressed with the differences. From the driver perspective I can honestly say it is a huge step up between the two models. Wow, what a truck!
Old Tahoe (loved black, but won't miss...
Thanks man! I Shopped everywhere online and eventually I ordered from discounttiredirect.com
They price matched, had a solid promo going and shipped quickly (arrived in a week). I'm really pleased with everything. Absolutely love the 2" drop in back...thanks again Tony.
Rides perfectly...
Yea, I'm fortunate to have the best of both worlds: 6 months of chrome factory 22's on street tires, and then 6 months of a more aggressive hunting / winter setup with legit Nitto tread and my black wheels. Although, if I had to pick at this very moment I would probably sell the factory 22"...
Thanks guys! I really appreciate the feedback. Also, thank you to the whole forum and community. I'm one of those members who lurks a lot, reads a ton and really have learned a bunch of great stuff from here.
It is NON Auto Ride. The new tires are a little, and I mean just a little, louder than the factory tires. But they have a significantly more aggressive tread pattern so that is to be expected. As for the 22" wheels; in general they ride just fine. The 45 series sidewall is plenty thick enough to...
Picked up my 16' Tahoe this June...absolutely love it so far! I just couldn't imagine facing an Upstate, NY winter on those factory 22" Bridgestone street tires.
So I picked up some "winter wheels". Black Rhino Peak 22's and mounted them on Nitto Grappler G2 tires (285/45/22). Then I figured...
