i went from stock 17's to 20x9 wheels with all terrain tires and noticed that my mpg has dropped an average of 2mpg, so i was wondering if any manufacturers are known for producing light weight off road wheels. is it even possible to have strong off road light weight wheel?
DEtahoe6904 tires are 275/55/20 bfg ko2's and no rubbing. all i did was change out the shocks and raise the front up a little and they ride a lot better than the 80k mile old oem shocks.
installed the 5100's and set the fronts for a 1.18" raise (3rd perch). measuring fenders, the front sits about 1" lower than the rear.
edit: 3rd perch is a 1.18" lift
i ran a 285/55/20 on a 20x9 +18 and it was poking out just a hair. i would assume with a -12 offset you would be poking out quite a bit.
the only pics i have (stock suspension)
did you simply replace the sub in your console or go the mtx/jl route? i'm trying to figure out what my options are to bring in some more bass without having to add a box
bigrhino - that doesn't sound bad at all. i thought i would have to put a heat gun to it for quite some time and basically pry it off. thanks for the reply, looks like i might be tackling this later today. :)
