Plugging Holes left from Roof Rack Removal

Prior owner removed the roof rack and all the bolts/hardware. I didn't notice unfortunately until it rained! :angry94: Anyways, can someone post pictures of the OEM bolts and how the whole setup goes together? I cannot find pictures of how they mount. I have bought OEM rack bolts and the...

    Roof marker lights

I'm curious as to why you wouldn't use the Chevy light pattern vice the Ford pattern? Chevy has 2 outer lights, then they put 3 lights clustered together in the center. Ford and Dodge have all 5 lights equidistant across the roof line I've installed quite a few of these in the past on...

    2005 Escalade FOB Programming Issues

tried it again. held the buttons so long that the Esky actually exited programming mode by itself. Still nothing! Getting to the point where I'm going to visit the Dealership

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

can someone explain the HD hood thing to me? I've read the sticky, but still don't understand the difference would this apply to my Esky? My hood has a few spots of damage where the clearcoat is going to start peeling anyways, so I'm not adverse to just putting a new hood on and painting

    Spark Plugs - General Questions

got the new sparkplugs installed. stumble/rough idle is gone here are the old plugs I pulled out. 100,000 mile plugs my butt! gap was on average 0.080...vice the 0.060 they were supposed to be if platinum tip, or 0.040 if they were iridium tip (most likely since they're cheapo AC Delco). As...

    Esky Backup Camera Install

used the 3/4" hole saw that came with my camera. very easy. pulled the interior trim off the rear hatch and did some measureing. there is a perfect spot for it interior under the hatch handle. made sure of the spot, then taped it off and drilled. make sure to tape off the area to prevent...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

fixed my rough idle with new plugs...100,000 mile plugs my butt! Esky has 65k miles and the AC Delco plugs looks wore out. Much smoother idle now

    Esky Backup Camera Install

there is always this setup: Rearview Mirror LCD Backup Camera although, I would use a different camera. I hate that style! I have the OEM Ford version of that on my Excursion. Video feeds to the headunit and the rearview mirror. I actually like having the screen in the rearview mirror...

    Esky Backup Camera Install

Strangely this "fully loaded" rig didn't have a backup camera. So I just rectified that today. Used a generic eBay camera with wireless RF transmitter because I was lazy and didn't want to route wire the entire cab length. Very happy with the decision. A little interference occasionally, but...

    My Lowering Experience

very nice rig, and impressive work so far...but those tires man! way too small. for the $$$ you've spent, I think a 30" tire would have accomplished to the same effect "looks" wise I understand the arguement about rotational mass. Really understand that point, I'm running 85 lbs rim/tire...

    Wanting to lift 06 Denali

isn't the stock tire size 32" tall for these rigs? I believe your statement that 33" won't fit without rubbing/trimming/more lift...I'm just confused as to why? My Escalade 2wd has 32" rubber and it looks like I can easily fit 33" rubber. Was actually planning on it. Now I need to do some...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

super easy to clean the haze out...not so much to get all the water out. I had to use a blowdryer for 10-15 minutes each headlight. I can't believe GM/Caddy made such a convoluted headlight! WTH is with that design?

    Spark Plugs - General Questions

there is a DIY tool guys came up with on the Ford forums for checking/setting that gap. The gap specified isn't correct when running superchargers. I've got it bookmarked somewhere from back when I put the RoushCharger on my F-150. thx for the heads up about these. I haven't even opened the...

    Spark Plugs - General Questions

that might be the case, but I don't blindly put plugs in without checking the gap. rough handling in the box can change the gap

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

cleaned the insides out of the headlights using denatured alcohol and DI water. stupid things had hazed over inside of course didn't get all the water out unfortunately, so blew a DRL in 1 side, and a blinker in the other. $13 later and now I have all working bulbs and re-dried the heads...

    Spark Plugs - General Questions

thx guys. I wasn't sure about the NGK's being good or not. I could have grabbed the AC Delco's for $2.30 a plug...but I opted for the $4/plug NGK's with "double platinum" whatever that means. There was a upgraded AC Delco for $8/plug, but was starting to sound all super fancy. I'm used to...

    Spark Plugs - General Questions

Just bought a 2005 Escalade with the 6.0 in it. Got a slight stumble/miss at idle...so I'm going to do a tune up. 66,000 miles gap is 0.040 correct? I bought some NGK plugs for it today. Always heard good things about them, but to be honest I'm a Ford guy and haven't played with a GM...

    I'm Done

check out a slightly newer one with the 6.0! I'm a Ford convert. Always had Fords...this is actually my first GM product since my 1971 C-10 pickup I had 15yrs ago The 6.0 motor sold me on converting. It just oozes power. Not a torque beast like my 6.8L V-10 is...but she sure can accelerate...

    2005 Escalade FOB Programming Issues

Hello, glad I found this site! I just got a new to me 2005 Escalade and have been fixing up little things here and there. Right now my focus is the remote clicker/FOB. My Escalade came with 1 broken FOB. I managed to get that one cleaned up a bit so it will unlock, but not lock. At least...
