Disaster after Torque Converter Replacement - Love your thoughts

sure they could be - although wouldn't the vibrations have come on more gradually - and how could have the work (twice) they did on the transmission have made it go away for a day or so?

Disaster after Torque Converter Replacement - Love your thoughts

Hello - I have a 2011 Tahoe 4WD LTZ with 70,000 miles. I was getting some epic vibrations between 30-40 mph so was not surprised when the dealer diagnosed (road test and codes) a faulty torque converter, and replaced it under warranty. I also requested a state inspection, and they...

Tires….. I'm sure there are other options?

right! they are 275/50/20 on there now I want about the same size (ok with a touch more in the diameter and width if need be) and yes more aggressive tread. I like the off road look in a softer tire that rides well. no lifts or levelers - the thing barely fits in the garage - as it is...

Tires….. I'm sure there are other options?

Hey all - I just picked up a 2011 Tahoe LTZ and dropped off my 2007 Yukon. I love the Tahoe - fully loaded and a great ride. Only problem is the tires are really worn, and I need to get new ones - which honestly I kind of look forward to. The size on there now is the 255/50/20...

    Emissions fail - battery died?

Hey all I was in for inspection and emissions today, which failed on emissions because the battery died during the test. The test is 5 minutes long. This is kind of disturbing, as the battery is only 6 months old. Of course this means the computers reset, and I have to drive maybe 100...

Quick Question (I searched) about rear brake job

Thanks man! 3.5 hours in total with a beer break. Probably the easiest brake job ever, using the holes in the rotors with alternator bolts popped them right off. The only issue I had was having to drill out the first 30torx screw, and the new rotors didn't have the holes for the torx screws...

Quick Question (I searched) about rear brake job

thanks so much - I believe I'm prepared, and am going to use the boltbuster method of cranking off the front rotors. Good to know the tip about the back ones! Can't wait!

Quick Question (I searched) about rear brake job

Hey all I've searched this and a few other forums, and just want to make sure I'm prepared for when I do the front and rear pads and rotors this weekend on my 2007 Yukon. I've done several american and japanese brake jobs with little surprises - and I'm estimating this to be more of the...

    Did the Denali Grille Upgrade

Hey All - I did the Denali Grille upgrade this morning, and used the directions from GrillCraft, which made this uninstall and install a complete snap. Total time was about 30 minutes for upper and lower. I used a grill from ipex motoring on eBay, which arrived quickly, fit perfectly, and...

Anyone have this grille for their Yukon?

Hey All - I'm interested in upgrading the upper and lower grille to a Denali-style grille, and this is the least-sketchy looking affordable one out there I've seen. I'm wondering if anyone has one of these and had a good experience with installing it, and the quality? I don't want to...

Universal Home Remote | 07 Yukon

Solved I fixed the problem today by doing a little more research. Apparently GMC changed the manufacturer of the unit to Lear, and the programming instructions are slightly different: http://www.learcar2u.com/program/ I followed these directions, and now my door goes up and down like a...

Universal Home Remote | 07 Yukon

Well, I can't get the buttons to enter program mode. Holding each one down never gets them to flash individually. If homelink responded as expected, but just didn't work, I'd be with you.

Universal Home Remote | 07 Yukon

Hey all - I've tried following the directions in the manual to program a simple garage door opener. It worked easily on my other two cars, and it's an older one, so I know it's not one of those "rolling" ones. I can't get the Yukon to program. I can get the three lights to flash...
