I think what I'm trying to say it would be nice to know what I'm looking at for instance, fuel trims what should they look like on a healthy Tahoe compared to what the scanner is telling me.
Well, it's time to show my ignorance. I recently acquired a Ancel V6 Pro Bidirectional scanner and it's a hell of a scanner. Now for my ignorance. Does anyone know of any training video or manual on how to use off of the features that this thing has? The user's manual is not much help so I'm...
I'm glad my son lives out of state lol I will tell you this that the EPA certified cat work just fine on a CA emissions vehicle no codes and passes the stupid smog test.
An Update: before I replaced my valve cover, I would go through about one quart of oil every 2.5k to 3000k miles but now I have no more oil loss. Best investment I have done. If you have an older Tahoe this project well worth investigating.
So is replacing the TC easy like removing the old one and placing the new one into the transmission? I too have the same issue as the original poster and I wanted to replace my TC as a PM thing before it goes out since the trans will be removed to replace the rear main seal.

Yes..... I used Denso 234-4668 for upstream and Denso 234-4256 for downstream and I'm wondering if that may be the issue. This code is so "Random" i just don't know. I usually use only OEM parts but they were not available from RA when I bought the Denso's.
So every now and then I get a random p219a code. It will set and then a day or two later it will clear and then show up again a week or so later. I looked at all of the suspects per (https://charm.li/Chevrolet/2011/Suburban 4WD V8-5.3L/Repair and Diagnosis/A L L Diagnostic Trouble Codes ( DTC...
Yes, I have a pretty significant rear main oil leak, I have about 135K and over 7K in engine hours (former Border Patrol SSV) so I'm debating on either getting the rear main fixed or getting a remanufactures engine and having a shop install it.
